Pick the right power output for your needs
Bought this a Jump 600x in January as a back-up for power-cuts. I have found that it is best suited for low power applications, such as decking LED string lighting or powering the laptop, phone and even a guitar Amp (handy info for buskers). If you want to power your kettle or run your refrigerator you would be better getting a more powerful unit but if you use it as intended, it makes a great domestic back-up. I bought a second 600x so that one can be charging while the other is in use. It will jump-start your car in winter (but you have to buy the jumper cable separately as it has a specific 'Jump' connector so get it from VToman, and it is a bit short). It powers my tyre pressure pump and is a lot les hassle than having to start the engine to use the cig lighter on each car every time. It weighs about the same as carrier bag full of shopping. It worked well to recharge my 12v power tool batteries when working away from mains access. Best bit, can be kept topped-up with the solar panel during use regardless of the state of the utility grid. Update - this little power station also powers my strimmer, my hedge trimmer, and my Bosh mower when working away from access to mains power and charges up the batteries for power tools while on projects. A GREAT BIT OF KIT.

Know what your use case is!
To begin, this was a life saver over the last week in particular and it surpassed what my intended use was. But having gained some knowledge over the week, I would buy something bigger. Of course that means more expensive. I bought the unit around Xmas 2024 and some ecoworthy solar panels. I had intended to use it to charge phones, tablets, batteries etc and maybe when having a day out in sunnier times. Then in blows the biggest storm we've seen in 60 odd years. The aftermath left destruction but worst of all, I had no power or broadband. Initially I didn't have broadband because the electric in the area was down but as I now have a fibre connection I only needed to power the ONT. The vtoman had no problem powering that and the Amazon eero router. It might seem trivial but it kept me sane as my laptop was fully charged and I could keep in touch with family and watch a bit of YouTube. The next day I used the vtoman to run my microwave to heat porridge. It worked but it is a little under powered. It was a sunny day and I was able to charge the unit with the solar panels for about 3 hours. That's when I realised the first potential issue under these conditions. The units max input is 90 watts. I actually ended up connecting it to the 12v cigarette socket in the car and went for a drive! That was giving me a charge rate of 88 watts fairly continuously. Even so, my days charge was now only at 81%. It was getting cold and with no power for the heating I wondered if it could power the oil burner and the water pump. Both items running required 203 watts and with ⁸¹% charge the unit indicated the run time would be just over an hour. I was so glad of that heat though. Now the battery is exhausted and it's going to take 4 or 5 hours to recharge. Great little unit, was easy to use and it surpassed my expectations but I wish I'd bought something bigger and the reality is, I'll probably need a small petrol generator to recharge it, especially in winter. Im glad I bought it, but know your use case and plan how you will recharge it.

Good Power Station, but problems occurred now resolved.
Useful and practical for all needs at a fraction of a price compared to other power stations that are costly. Purchased solely for camping but has become useful at home too. 07.06.23 Some issues with charging unit. Plug not detected in unit. Problems only occurred recently end of May 2023. If I plug in cable that came with it, it shuts the unit off, nothing works. I have to take the cable out of it's unit socket, put in and out until it detects it. Confused as to why issues. Taken care of unit. Goes without saying, you get what you pay for. Would not go cheap again. It performed well previsouly but appears to be a internal short. Cable replacement was sent, this did not resolve issue. Have been in touch with customer service but not helpful with questions, they offered refund. Under customer reviews. I advise you filter and go to most critical. To see additional genuine issues. Update: End of June 2023 So issues were resolved. I did a complete battery decompletion, to zero %. I pressed all 3 buttons on unit in yellow to reset, just tried it as you would your mobile for a hard reset. It worked. Plugged in cable and it now charges. If this fails, repeatedly put the power cable in and out of the machine quickly and repeat repetitively until it comes on, this also works, discovered this in a panic. It took a while to figure this out as customer service had no solutions other than refund and new cable. I was given a good partial refund that basically made unit worthwhile for me, once I got it fully working. Remember to hard reset 3 yellow buttons pressed all together. Use both hands to get it done. I have used this for long extensive camping trips and at home since June. Now I solved issues and it works properly it is worth it on a tight budget, but I will say, as before you get what you pay for. I do have a small 240 Jackery but the vtoman fast charges and is a better investment for gadgets. I think if I were to replace any of my power stations I would go small and compact with a punch. However the Vtoman has served me well on a budget.

Very easy set up & very efficient for use off grid
Absolutely brilliant product 💜 I'm off grid in a camper & this panel charges the unit to full within 2 to 5 hrs I then use it for numerous appliances throughout the day & am yet to use full battery within 48hrs so I feel its efficient but I may at some point get a higher capacity solar panel, when first turned on there's a slight hum initiating use but only for 2 to 3 seconds then the unit is silent, nice & compact & easy to connect, not too heavy, im very slight build & can move around easily.

It does what it’s designed for no more no less.
It’s a small power station only 300 watt hours it means it’ll run a 100 watt light bulb for three hours. Or a 300 watt light bulb for One hour, or run 600 watt for half hour, 1200 watt quarter of an hour. You now get it. It charges most if it all usb offerings and has a 12v cig socket, It does what it’s designed for no more no less. I’d love to have the larger one, to me VTOMEN look and perform great. I use it I’n my camper van charged by Solar.

EXCELLENT AND RIGOROUSLY TESTED
I was doing extensive research on portable solar generators at an affordable price as I can't afford to spend £1,000 or more on a portable generator. I came across the Vtoman and read reviews and looked at several online videos. One of the things that I like about the Vtoman was the amount of power I was getting for the price. 600w continuous with 1200w surge protection 600w is sufficient for a large number of things. For me the weight of the item is important as well. There's no point buying a portable solar generator if I can't even lift it! So tested on the basics, mobile, phones, laptop. Then moved on to hair straightener, then 21inch TV with now tv & fire stick all plugged into the socket and mobile phone ( see pictures). It gave an estimated time of over 6 hrs use with these 4 items plugged in. Then tested on a 46L table top compressor fridge freezer. Because the fridge freezer has a compressor which does switch off the Voltage would vary between pulling 3w and 33w & 60w depending. I used the battery at 100% charge and used it till it drained. I got 18 hours continuous use before the battery died. Considering that most fridges would stay cold for at least 24 hrs without electricity keeping things cold in this fridge could extend to 3 days. I suppose a cool box would last longer. I did note that if I plugged several items into an extension cord then plugger it into the AC plug on the Vtoman it seems to pull less voltage. Case in point with the TV, firstick, now tv and mobile phone all plugged into an extension then the extension plugged into the Vtoman 600 jump. All in all really pleased. I definitely will purchase the extension battery. Which will triple my power and providing significant savings over other competitors. I have already ordered a 100w foldable solar to charge on the go. In the UK they advised me may have rolling blackouts..that didn't happen in 2022 but I gave a sneaky feeling we may experience this in winter /2023 /2024 so want to be prepared. There is no car charging cable in the box - this has to be purchased separately. Edit - Purchased the extra battery 05/07/2023 in the Amazon sale that will triple the power. The price of the Vtoman jump 600 + extra battery works out to almost half the price of its orange competitor for their 1000w unit with the Vtoman giving more output. I am currently actively using my Vtoman jump especially on warm nights to run the fans & save on electricity.
