Dragonhawk makes the best budget tattoo pens
I love the dragonhawk tattoo brand and they also have excellent costumer service. These mast tattoo pens are quiet, have very low vibration and are very easy to use. This mast works quite well as I've been using it for the past few weeks on a daily basis for at least, or about, an hour every day praying on fake skins. I did actually give myself 2 small tattoos on my legs using this pen and it came out great with very little pain. The tattoos healed quicker than any others that I have gotten from professionals- not sure why but as a beginner I credit the tattoo pen for that as there was no scabbing of the skin so it's like this pen hit with just the perfect strength. If you're a beginner, or just like inexpensive tattoo pens, then definitely try this as I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Awesome tattoo pen!

Worth the purchase!
I am an intermediate artist and have always used old style rotary guns but they're too heavy for my hand so I searched for a tattoo pen and came across this pen. I was skeptical bc of some reviews but I gave it a shot and I am so happy I did. It's packaged beautifully. Easy set up. The pen is light enough but has just enough wt. It's quiet and the vibration is almost absent. I've done 3 tattoos so far and they've come out so clean and crisp. I use bloodline ink and they look amazing!! I couldn't be happier with this purchase. If I needed to, I'd buy it again.

Quality of this newbies work improved drastically and comfortably!!!
Absolutely love my new Mast machine!!! I’ve only been tattooing for over a year or so, started with coil and standard rotary machines. After reading no telling how many reviews and watching video after video, I finally broke down and ordered the Dragonhawk Mast kit. After just two weeks, I wish I hadn’t waited!!! After reading about several shops where after a short time one artist using a Mast Pen caused practically every artist at that shop to switch because of the quality of the pieces drastically improving, I was sold. My work has improved drastically as well. Especially my lining!!! So much less vibration and noise, I can focus so much better!!! Incredibly easy to set and use!!! I will say I believe every artists should begin this business using coil machines, and using them the right way, but if you’re struggling with certain things like I was, I fully agree with many of the shop owners, some who left great reviews here, the Mast Pen may be the solution. Thank you!!!

***READ***
First off, I initially thought I received a broken non working power supply. (As some of these reviews have mentioned) Based off the instructions, it states “press knob 3’s then turn on the power to start” Well, I did exactly what I read. And nothing! I was excited to receive this tattoo pen and was disappointed it didn’t work! I was getting ready to return it back but thought, let me just read through the comments one last time. (As we all know, sometimes instructions are sometimes off or hard to understand) So I’m reading and come across many who said the same thing! Power supply doesn’t work. Well, thankfully I came across one comment buried deep into the comments lol It said, YOU MUST HOLD DOWN THE BUTTON FOR 3 SECONDS to turn ON. Once ON you click the button once to turn the PEN ON. Turn knob to adjust speed. To turn OFF, just HOLD BUTTON DOWN FOR 3 SECONDS. Voila! I hope this helps... (SEE VIDEO) I haven’t used the pen just yet to tell you how well it tattoos but I will be sure to update once I use it.

Love this Tattoo pen!
so A few months ago I purchased a dragonhawk tattoo kit came with 4 tattoo guns, an amp and many other items you would need to get started to tattoo! I like drawing but I’m not the best artist however I’m the type if I want something I teach myself. So I have been learning more about art and the simplicity of it all. I had 4 small tattoos prior to getting the tattoo guns but disliked three of them so basically I wanted the guns for personal use! I received the tattoo guns practiced on the practice skin and I think I took to it pretty good, skin however is totally different, and for me I think it’s so much easier to work with, so after a good go on the fake skin I decided to try it on myself! I had drawn a koi fish with some flowers and water it’s a decent sized peice and I used it to cover a tattoo I no longer care for! With the coil guns I was able to do an outline and some of the shading. Being a newbie I became to sore to add the color so I decided to Waite until the tattoo healed to add color! In fact I gave myself an even bigger tattoo higher up on my thigh a few days later. After reaserching more and waiting on some ink and other items I had ordered to Finnish my tattoo I decided to research the rotary pen, dragon hawk.I was interested in the mast pen, but I was also interested in the AtomJ2 I went with the Mast just because I could get it the next day! I ordered it it came I practiced a flower on some skin to get the feel, feel in love it’s like drawing! Hardly any vibration, the weight is awesome! I figured what the hay so I Tried it on my skin, packs color, shades and lines like a dream! Also could tell a huge difference in how my skin feels wasn’t as painful! And my skin handles it so much better! I apsolutly love it! The coils where great they did their job! But the Mast pen is amazing! I would recommend to anyone! I have finished my tattoo personally and another pretty decent sized tattoo for a friend. So long as it takes my abuse and continues to work I will love this product and wouldn’t hesitate to by another! Sorry for the long story but I hope this helps you make the right decision first instead of baby steps like I did! 😁

Solid well rounded machine. I love it.
Let me start off by saying I am not a professional. I have done to previous tattoos very small in size with a homemade gun. So we're going to call it less-than-ideal experience. I shopped for a machine that was a good all-around low maintenance easy to use machine and I settled on this one. I was surprised when I opened it at how small it was I've heard reviews of people saying it was heavy I didn't think it was. I bought radiant inks along with a big bottle of all-purpose black which I diluted down for lining. I practiced a couple times on practice skins. but could tell right off the bat that they are not a good representation to tattooing flesh. The tattoos I did with the machine I made came out better. The kid that I got came with a 10 pack of 5 mags and attend pack of 3 liners. I purchased other needles also. So I decided to tattoo myself being none of my friends trusted me quite enough. It turned out great other than the initial shaking I think from anxiety. 10 minutes in and not stopped the machine is way smoother than any coil machine I have been tattooed with. I also have two full sleeves base of collar bone to wrists. The machine is just as easy to use as tracing with a pencil. This is the very first tattoo that I have done with this gun with many more to follow I suddenly have Test Dummies volunteering after they seen the final tattoo. This tattoo was done with a 7 round liner and 7 round Shader.

Great pen for beginners and more experienced
I am a beginner tattoo artist. When I say beginner I mean my husband wanted some pretty big tattoos and asked me to do them because I could draw decently😅. I bought the my first tattoo set with a tattoo gun and practiced on the fake skin provided. It wasn't difficult but definitely was not easy either to trace an outline when your hand is vibrating due to the gun. I bought this set with the pen when I decided to outline his tattoo again with a better black ink..(my first tattoo pictured). (Make sure you buy great ink...i bought Starbrite. Do not use the ink provided in these sets except to practice. Also, Starbrite has great color ink but their black ink isn't the greatest because it isn't dark on darker skin tones like my husband's... if you want a dark black ink or shading ink go with Dynamic.) I bought my inks from the actual dealers because I didn't want to chance getting a knock off and putting it into my husband. Anyway, this tattoo pen is awesome. Low vibration, quiet, holds like a fat pen, it's not too heavy for my tiny hands. All in all I'd say it's a great deal. However, don't just read my review or the others here and purchase. Do what I did and go to youtube and watch reviews by actual tattoo artists. The ones I watched really liked the dragon mast but there are other pens that you might like more. I would definitely purchase this again and highly recommend.
