Loved the soundbar but after the 60 days experienced problems with the handset. Contacted seller hoping to receive a replacement handset as you can't operate the soundbar without it. Received a response from Amazon advising us to return everything! However as it was past the 60 days I couldn't do this and contacted Amazon who opened a return request which was closed by the seller with no explanation. Amazon opened a second return request which was again closed with no explanation. However I had been advised to open an A&Z request if this happened and was given an address to send back to ensuring it was tracked and insured. I eventually received a refund under the A-Z Guarantee. Loved the product and just wanted another handset. Be aware if you have an issue after 60 days the seller doesn't want to know

I have been unable to hear people speaking on TV with an accent, even with hearing aids. By adjusting the setting on the remote control to optimise each programme I now hear much more clearly. The sound bar was easy to set up, we just needed a US to UK adaptor and everything works fine.

Thought it was illegal to sell US plug items in UK could be wrong, had to purchase adapter

I bought this on behalf of my elderly neighbour and it seemed to work well at first and did what it said on the tin. However after a while the unit glitches and becomes silent and unresponsive to the remote at between 30 mins and 2 h of operation. At this point the only cure is to unplug it and plug it back in to reset. This is an operation that an 88 year old cannot be expected to do! Then it will work for a while again. I have requested a refund and return, and the seller appears to want me to pay the postage.... I hope I am wrong.

Connected the unit - Nothing, no display etc. Went through all the troubleshooting guides, still no joy. I wad just about to pack it up and send it back when I thought I’d try another 2-pin to 3-pin adapter (borrowed from a neighbour). That worked, but all throughout the troubleshooting, the back of the remote control kept falling off - frustrating to say the least. Contacted Vanguard, who were full of apologies, and said they would send a replacement control. Then they sent a message saying they couldn’t replace it and to return the whole package. By this time I’d thrown the packaging away, as I expected the promised replacement . In short, the unit has a “QC passed” sticker on it - obviously the doesn’t apply to accessories. My advice - buy from somewhere else

I have owned a Bose soundbar for several years. It had really good quality sound for music and dramatic effects, but not very good quality for dialogue. As my hearing quality has gone down I decided I needed to look at a soundbar that focused on speaking quality. The ZVOX soundbar is truly AMAZING! It was quick and easy to setup and then experiment with the various settings for what worked best. The result is a clarity of dialogue that surpasses all of my expectations. I do not have to turn up the volume and the clarity comes through so that I don't have to strain to understand what is being said. The other feature that I absolutely love is the sound leveling. With this on the commercials are now at the same volume as the TV shows. I also appreciate that the soundbar automatically turns on/off with the TV. This is a really amazing product and shows the company's focus on sound clarity. I strongly recommend the ZVOX soundbar for anyone who needs more clarity in the speaking on TV on streaming movies.

For the past year I have been struggling to hear the dialogue on TV shows. I know I have some hearing loss at age 68 but I hear just fine other than with the TV. The ZVOX soundbar solved my problem and I can now enjoy watching TV again. The installation was as easy as they claimed and the remote was very simple to use. You can adjust the sound clarity to suite you specifically because of the many levels available. I highly recommend this soundbar to anyone who struggles to hear the TV dialogue. The price was very reasonable and worth every cent.

My wife has hearing issues. Hearing dialogue in movie soundtracks is difficult because of all the background sound. This sound-bar has solved the problem. It has multiple settings which are easily adjustable so that the sound in every movie or video can be tweaked quickly to meet her needs. Set up instructions were clear. All necessary wiring and batteries were included. Manufacturer’s assistance is available. The sound-bar is relatively small, low profile and easy to fit into the TV setup. This is a superior product for the price, in my opinion.

This worked beautifully right out of the box. Very simple hookup. I haven’t had to use my TV ears since. However, after just a couple months, I am getting sporadic ‘crackling’ sounds with voices- on live news and talk shows. I got a quick response from them, with some fixes to try with the cables, but it didn’t help. My husband moved it to the newer, bedroom tv, to see if it was any better there, and it really amplified the sound from that tv beautifully. He thinks it may be due to that tv having the optical cable. He moved it back to the Living room tv, and I found that it doesn’t crackle during my drama and action shows. So I will live with it, as it IS still better than having the TV ears, and maybe we’ll buy a newer tv this Xmas.
