The Wizard of Oz Collection Box Set - Classic Magical Adventure Book Series for Kids (Pack of 15) Paperback – Box set, 1 Dec. 2016

The box isn't cheaply put together like some box sets I have bought. It is sturdy enough to safely hold the books which are printed to a high quality. The cover art of each book is gorgeous. The price is very reasonable. I am happy that they have included The Royal Book of Oz by Ruth Plumly Thompson. I hope that the publishers will release another box set containing the other OZ novels that she wrote as these are really hard to come by individually nowadays. I bought these for myself for nostalgia (I'm almost 40 years old). Great for both children and adults.

This is a quality set. Great for the price. Sturdy cardboard box casing and nice quality paperback covers. All in pretty green and embossed metallic gold patterns. Really aesthetic.Feel whatever you want about the written material. It’s the Oz books. They’re nice children stories. I can see why they aren’t popular today because there is content hard to square with today and acts political correctness. Eg, the patchwork girl is a servant and mustnt rise above her station, so she is not allowed to be blue, like the munchkins. She must be made a different colour so she doesn’t think too much of herself…yikes. Toto gets a whooping. That sort of thing. Fun books but you need to put them into context. They were written along time ago and out ideas of certain ‘ok’ and ‘. Not ok’ has changed.What knocks off a star? They are full of typos. Many typos. Not just the odd letter. One whole book can’t decide the between the name Cos or Gos for the whole book and uses the words interchangeably. Some books have many single letter typos. Other books have entire words missing. In some books entire half a sentence is missing. I find this rather amusing and make a game out of spotting them….still deserves a star of.If you’re looking to get a set of OZ books, this is a quality, pretty, set (if you don’t mind some typos) and at the time of writing, I feel is good value for money.

Ordered for granddaughter aged 9 as she was reading at school, she absolutely loves it. The box is lovely.

As a child many years ago I did not know that there was more books to read. I am so glad that now I get to read them all at my age which is over 60
