I've always wanted a straight razor (cut throat) but never really got round to buying one but as I needed to buy a new razor I decided to try one, I looked through the first couple of pages on Amazon and found this one and I liked the sound it and when it arrived I wasn't disappointed as the wooden handle is beautifully made and so comfy to use and installing the blades is even easier. I know it'll take a bit of practice and time to master how to properly use a straight razor without any nicks or cuts but I can honestly say this straight razor gives an unbelievable close shave and left me feeling really clean and smooth so it is well worth the money. I am planning on buying at a later date now a proper razor and strop once iv mastered this blade.

First time using a cut throat style razor and found it to be much easier to hold and use than I thought. Nice and easy to change the blade and the clamp part holds the blade nice and tight. Some nice grain in the wood handle and the pouch is handy when I’m digging for it in a wash bay while working away. No need to worry about grabbing a blade. I think it’s great value for money and made keeping a good shape to my beard SO much easier.

Nice simple and cheap cut throat. I bought it along with 200 blades (As it comes with none) which you snap in half anyways so you get 400 blades in total so for personal use that's more than a years supply and it was just over £15 for the two, and it also came with a bar of shaving soap. - Derby Extra Double Edge Razor Blades and Free Arko Shaving Cream Soap Stick The only reason i am giving it a 4 out of 5 is because of the blade locking mechanism. Its strong enough to hold the blade in place, but when you snap the blade in half and place it in the holder and pull down the lock which clamps the blade in place, it can sometimes move one of the two arms which sandwich the blade which in turn moves the blade out of alignment. That being said its not that bad just a little fiddle to get it right and bobs your uncle you're set. So yeah, fairly easy to use and great value for money.

I can’t fault this little beauty. I have a lot of straight razors etc and for the price I paid for this I think it’s fantastic! Comfortable handle, strong smooth rivet hinge, well made razor tip holder and even comes with a pack of decent blades. If you’re just starting out with working a single blade, this is a great and inexpensive way to begin learning. I’ll be taking this on longer trips so I can leave the antique and expensive ones at home!

Great razor, worked perfectly for edging and shaping my beard. Mine came with two ASTRA half blades, do yourself a favour and skip them. The first one I tried was just barely sharp, so it and the other one went straight into the sin bin. My personal suggestion would be to get your self a box of Derby DE Blades Derby Extra Double Edge Razor Blades and Free Arko Shaving Cream Soap Stick They have been the most consistently best shaving blades I've used so far.

This razor looks premium, feels cheap, lightweight and possibly dangerous. The pins that hold in place and swing out the razor feel flimsey. You will need to be very careful when using. However, the wood finish is a lovely colour: wish it weighed more.

I struggled a bit at the beginning with the blade not fitting!. Then discovered to snap the blade in half then it fits perfect!! Easy to use , very light in the hand which really helps with shaving gently and getting the perfect straight lines with no accidents.. I would definitely recommend this product..

Great razor. Well made and does hold the blades well. Looks good, real wood. No need to buy expensive razor. It’s the blade that shaves you not the expensive handle. Beginners... take your time and replace the blades every week. 10 blades split in two means 20 weeks worth of sharp blades for £2.

The whole set is a little bit dissapointing . Would not buy it a second time or recommend it . Delivery was fast .

I’ve never been a fan of multi-blade razors. This razor offers a close shave without the threat of ingrown hairs. The wooden handle gives it a classic look while the interchangeable blades offer a modern design. The shave is close and my skin has never felt smoother. Great design, excellent build quality.

This is a nicely made, cheap, razor. I'm loving how well it works to get the hair from under your nose, but I have cut myself already - you need to be super careful!

This is going on to become my preferred way of shaving. Good for edge-ups and that clean, close feel. Great starter razor
