Love that this stilt is customizable for lots of different sizes and shapes. The pegs and plate are alumina, so they don't melt or drop at all at cone 6, unlike some stilts with nichrome wire pegs. If the bottom of the piece is glazed, the pegs will stick but they are easy enough to break off and sand down, and the kit comes with plenty of pegs so you don't need to be too precious with them, which is nice. Absolutely recommend this product, especially if you run a community kiln that occasionally has uniquely shaped pieces made in kids camps 😜

Love the ability to customize the pegs to hold different items! This was the first firing using 1 of the 2 I purchased and thrilled with the results. The tips of the pegs did get caught in the glaze melting but can sand down to fix the rough bump where the glaze met the spike but is also fine as it is - its really not that noticeable. The pegs I can see definitely needing replaced down the road but the ability to fully customize the kiln furniture outweighs needing to get replacement pegs in my opinion. The seller was also amazing - with my initial order, 1 of the 2 arrived with a crack in it. I requested to have a replacement sent to not take the risk of the crack worsening in a firing. The seller reached out right away to see what happened to improve future quality of the items. Very happy with purchase and will buy again when more are needed.

I placed this in a three burner forge which routinely gets up to 1600 degrees. I have had no issues so far. I do wish the posts were a little taller, but they still work, though one has broken while under heat. It did arrive broken, but it was obviously the delivery that did it. Good product for the price.

If you are a potter, then this stilt is recommended. I have built my own, but this worked great so I bought a second one. Having so many pins means I can really balance a piece and not worry it will fall over during the glaze fire.

This fits the small kiln I use for heat treating small metal parts. The pins that come with it either supports the part on its side, or suspends it about 3/4” above the ceramic pad. It provides some protection for the bottom of the kiln when case hardening low carbon steel parts. It is a great accessory for the kiln.

I thought this would be good for glazing ornaments on both sides. It completely failed. Glaze stuck to the nails and ruined some pieces. I would return but my window was last week on August 18th.
