Love this sword!!!
I have been wanting a kopesh sword for a long time, so when I saw this little beauty that is made by Honshu no less, I just had to get it for my collection. First of all, it's made by Honshu, a brand I have the utmost respect for as their products are really well made and ultra sharp, right out of the box. They are beautiful, modern versions of many different types of historic swords, from huge claymores, to broadswords, katanas and even bearded battle axe's. I highly recommend this, and anything made under the Honshu name, your going to get quality work every time, and a weapon that is battle ready. Review by, Michael James Fox Beavercreek, Ohio

The thickness is not enough. The overall feeling is a bit soft. It is recommended to make it thicker.

So beautiful, I’m buying another in May, be warned, she is sharp, but a beautiful weapon. The grips make it feel natural in my hands.

Impressive War Sword
If you are in the market for a reasonably priced Egyptian sword, this product is for you. The Blade: I do not know if it is simply a property of the 7cr13 steel used or the sharpening process by the manufacturer, but this blade is superbly sharp. Of the two other Honshu products that I own that use this same steel type, both came razor sharp out of the box and are among the sharper swords in my collection. The blade is securely fit and feels very sturdy. All cuts made to the box it came in were very satisfactory and I see no defects on this aspect of the sword. The Handle: This blade has the handle of an axe. Quite literally, as the same model of handle is used for the Karito Battle Axe, which, in all fairness, is a sensible business practice. It does pose quite a difficult problem of terminology identification. This product could be a sword or an axe, and I suppose that is the point, considering the historical khopesh is derived from a battle axe design. You clearly shouldn't use this product against something with high density like a tree, because that is not what swords, or battle axes, are used for. Feels very comfortable to hold and the length allows for powerful two handed strikes. The Sheath: Crafted of durable feeling leather and possessing two leather clasps for securing the blade. Have had absolutely no problems with removal or return of blade to sheath. No way to affix the blade to your person, but that is acceptable considering the length. Conclusion: Sturdy, sharp, and very fun to swing around. A true example of an ancient design being used and improved in this contemporary era. With the lack of functional modern khopeshs on the market currently, you could certainly do a lot worse than this product at this price. Very impressed and would definitely purchase again if the need arises.
