Bought this to mix 50/50 with pea protein for a completely amino acid profile in smoothies. If you're already using non-flavoured proteins such as pea, this tastess fine. If you're trying to avoid sweeteners and the other stuff that's put in to most vegan protein powder, you can adjust your smoothie/shake and add things like dates and ripe bananas for sweetness. It's a very fine power, almost looks and feels like cornflour. Has a slight texture to it when blended, but blends smoothly without lumps in a high powered blender. It doesn't really have a smell, has great protein content.

Tastes dry and powdery but seems to work better for my digestion than other powders and it's cheap. Perfect for me!

My introduction to vegetable protein shakes came through a strongly "vanilla" flavoured Holland and Barrett (PE/PhD) blend of pea and rice proteins. It was fine but the smell was cloying and overpowering. Unflavoured, Bulk Brown Rice Protein Powder is altogether more wholesome. On rice crispies there is no strong flavour. It mixes much better in drinks. Unflavoured isn't bad tasting, if you like rice. I would describe the taste as wholesome, earthy, and like rice. Missing the "treat" feeling of my old, flavoured mix, I tried adding 7-8 drops of vanilla extract and teaspoon of sweetener. The change in flavour was only subtle which leads me to believe that vast quantities of sweeteners and flavourings were used in my previous "vanilla" flavoured product. Maybe its wishful thinking, but I find the Bulk Brown Rice Protein Powder more digestible. I bought pea protein to mix this with and help balance essential amino acids. The pea protein is a lot thicker and the powder courser. Rice protein is very fine. If I had one idea for improvement it would be that the delivery driver didn't dump the box outside, during the Christmas recess, and with heavy rain approaching. I'm not sure the bags are totally plastic and waterproof, but they are enough, and the powder seems totally ok.

I bought this because I'm on iron tablets and my usual whey protein inhibits iron absorption. As far as I can see this product is excellent nutritionally with a generous amount of protein per portion and no synthetic sweeteners. The taste is not quite so good. The best way of taking it is to dissolve in water - it mixes well with water - and drink it down quickly. Out of curiosity I mixed it with chocolate yogurt and that really did not taste nice at all.

I have tried their flavoured vegan protein powder and didn't like the aftertaste of the sweetener so decided to go for this unflavoured one. The "unflavoured" flavour is utterly dreadful, from the smell to the taste and texture; everything is awful. On a plus note it mixes really well because the powder is incredibly fine. Maybe if you can combine it in something where you don't taste it at all then it would be ok. I was hoping to find a cheap vegan basic protein powder but this isn't it.

Very mild taste which works well with both sweet and savoury, excellent source of protein, hypoallergenic, even suitable for mast cell patients. If there's ever been any issue with packaging then customer services have sent a replacement fast. I usually get 5kg at a time, free postage and it lasts me around 5 months. Love it.

I was drawn in by the advertised flavorless protein powder, but I have noticed that you can DEFINITELY taste the rice, so long as you don't use this in very flavorful dishes. I made two batches of pancakes and every member of my family noticed the flavor in the ones I used rice powder in. While it isn't terrible, it still doesn't live up to what is advertised. I will be buying more to use in dishes with stronger flavors, as I have noticed it is possible to drown out the rice-y ness.

Non per fighette che vogliono quelle buone, dolci e senza grumi. Qua ci si strozza uomoooooo! Scherzi a parte, prese perchè soffrendo di colon irritabile e problemi digestivi sono le uniche che non creano problemi non essendo derivate del latte e non avendo aromi. Nello shaker non si sciolgono bene ma restano molto farinose e anche il sapore lascia a desiderare. Sarebbero da aggiungere a frullati, smoothies ecc... È comunque la soluzione migliore per chi come me ha problemi digestivi.

This is the only vegan protein powder that does not bloat me, nor causes any abdominal pain. I would recommend it to everyone who does not tolerate pea or chickpea protein.

It's okay. I don't particularly like the taste but it's not disgusting as many other protein powders.

Gusto neutro dovrebbe voler dire neutro. Consistenza gessosa, non si scioglie nei liquidi e retrogusto amaro. Infungibile sia nelle preparazioni dolci sia in quelle salate. Mi chiedo davvero chi possa deglutirlo consapevolmente.
