Certified Rehabilitation Counselor Examination Preparation (Book + Free App)

I used this textbook to prepare for the exam along with the CRC flashcards I ordered through amazon and I highly recommend this textbook. I finished my graduate program 4 years prior to taking the CRC exam which was a mistake as I had to review a lot of content to refresh my memory of material on the CRC exam. This textbook was the primary source to prepare for the exam and I will keep for a resource while in the field. The 2nd edition also comes with the Q&A quizzes you can test your knowledge and practice test taking skills to reduce your time. The Q&A definitely helped me with the exam and prepared me for completing the exam within the time frame.I would also like to mention after taking the exam for the second time, I was shocked with how much information is not covered in the text and it's unfortunate there isn't a textbook that counselor's can purchase to study the core material that will be on the exam. This text is one of the best available but there is so much content on the CRC exam you could study for a year and be baffled with how little is actually on the exam correlating with what you studied. Don't get discouraged, keep studying and you will pass!

Some typos and a few (possibly?) oddly worded practice questions. BUT, the info is all there. Every core class is covered and it's a great review/resource. I especially appreciate the detailed reference list at the end of each chapter. If something isn't clear, I can go right to the source.(If I'm being brutally honest, I think footnotes make more sense for a textbook-style publication. But, I admit that's my own personal preference and acknowledge it's a fairly cumbersome production process.)

this is a very comprehensive resource and i passed the test on the first try using this as a primary source. however, the test had little to do with anything this book covered. i might have gotten about 10-15 questions right as a result of my hours spent pouring over this book. i'm not sure if i was actually helped by this resource or if i just got lucky. The app is decent, but some of the answers are wrong. the test is utterly convoluted and difficult for anyone to prepare for. Even though i passed, i am convinced that a person could have been practicing for a decade and failed it. good luck

There are a lot of errors in this book. However, once you read through the text and see more information on a certain topic, you will be able to piece what was a mistake, together. When you study this text, try to understand the general overview of what is in being said; Meaning, there are some complex sentencing that could have been broken down more simple. Anyway, this book has a lot of repetition, which is/was very helpful for me. This booked helped me tremendously on my exam! Good luck to those who are taking it in October! To those who are having difficulty, chin up and get this book! :)

It’s just EXCELLENT.PLEASE, focus on everything. There are conceptos NOT in bold, but in italic… study for that.

I used this book along with the CRC review class as University of Wisconsin - Stout. The book was great because it came with a phone app so I could do 50 practice questions per day. The book has additional questions. I thought they were a little harder than the actual test which is good because I flew through it and passed.

This book helps you pass the exam. Some said this is all they studied. While I did study other material in addition to this, I can see how if this is all you studied, and really got what's in this book down, you could pass. Thanks in part to this book I passed!
