These knives are sturdy and work so well. They are very sharp....it took a second to get used to the the fact that I don't have to put any pressure into cutting into the things. The scissors are amazing too. They are heavy, so if you have arthritis, you may want to get their stamped set instead of the forged. I loved these so much that everyone in my family got a set for Christmas.

We have had an old knife set that was so dull and would not sharpen well for quite some time . We were amazed when we got this new knife set and how easy it was to cut something as simple as a steak for supper. The set is beautiful and the knives make cutting up foods so easy. Thank you!!!!

As sharp as you can get. Excellent finish, superb, the wood block really well made. If only this was consistent.Of 23 items (knives, fork, honing stick) 12 with cracked handles - a 52% defect rate, really? These knives are so darn good that it feels terrible to see this poor level of quality control. I will be returning and hoping for a replacement that does not have this atrocious rate of defect. But Shame. Shame. Shame. 7 of the 8 steak knives cracked. I ordered them in spite of the reviews mentioning this issue. Since all of the reviews mentioning the cracks were related to the model with the white handles, I was hoping that mine, with the black handles, will not have this issue but they do.Classic case of poor quality control.Update. Jan7, 2025. Original set was promptly returned and a new one was received. Same problem. The honing steel with severe cracks and other 12 knives (every one of the 8 steak knives) with cracks. So, so, so disappointing because I’m in love with these knives. I wrote to the seller to see if I could replace just the ones with issues. We will see.

I bought these for myself, first day using them cut my finger went to the emergency room. Then I got them for my mother-in-law first time using them and she cut her finger also pretty bad! I’ve had mine for over a year still look brand new and beautiful

Ordered these for Christmas present to replace a Chicago Cutlery set we'd owned for a decade. After a month and a half of use I can say that I don't think the construction is very good. Have hand washed them exclusively since opening box and the white handle is splitting at the hilt on nearly half the set. Very disappointed in this product. Would return item but it didn't happen until after the return window closed. Buyer beware. Other than that disappointmeny they are super sharp and have a good weight to them, but I'm not sure if they'll last much longer.

The sellers were very responsive to the issue. I got a message from customer service saying the damaged itens will be replaced

Wow this knives are amazing my husband and I being used to dull knives both actually cut ourselves the first night we had these because the glided through the vegetables we were cutting so easily!! Highly highly recommend and are def worth the money!!!! Also have had them for over a month and do not see any evidence of rust (yet).

Love these knives. I finally decided to replace my Ginsu knives with a large set. Fell in love with the white handles. The single copper decoration on the handle is classy. They feel great in your hand. Packaging is well thought out as each blade has a tip protector and cardboard sleeve while the handle is wrapped in thin paper. Gorgeous and classy knife set to compliment my Lenox Portola Black flatware set.
