I needed to stir some old paint and I could get it done by hand. This works perfectly, is well build and a great value for the money!

Bends under anything heavier than paint.

Length matters, don't care what they say..The mixer works well.The length is a added bonus and worth the extra money, to keep you further away from any splash in the pail if your not careful.And helps the back.The other less expensive ones are 16" ... the added length works great, and worth the money...

It's a little short for 5gal, but works.

I use this to mix chemical sprays to prevent weeds from growing. I chuck it into a cordless drill and, run it at high speed and it does an excellent job of mixing the powdery chemical and water. The circle at the bottom of the mixer prevents tearing up the sides of the plastic tank that I mix it in.
