Great replacment for failed ligth fixture out of warrenty
Works great, replaced a 200 watt full spectrum chip in my Failed Apollo light fixture with this 100 watt 6500k chip. Plants are happy using on the "VEG" side so full spectrum is not needed. The old chip had two drivers powering it, 1 for each side of the chip. Used 1 driver to power this chip works just fine still super bright, and have an extra driver for later use. the 200 watt chip are a lot more expensive so this is a great alternative. Used some thermal paste in between the chip and heat sink. soldered the old wire with the old "clips" attached for easy hookup! have been in use for 2 weeks and still works Great. Plant is getting huge under this bulb/Chip! Update: 1/13/20 been using this bulb off and on now for almost 3 years and still going strong but it does blink on and off for a coulple minutes when first turned on, looks like all 100 diodes are lit still hard to see its so blinding probally a driver issue not the bulb been doing that for months now but keeps going. 5000k to 6500k works great for growing plants much brighter than the T5 fixture with 6500k bulbs next to it. The sun is 5000k so these are close. full spectrum or 3500k or lower for flowering plants.

Don't go past 28v
Works. It's bright. Im running it at 28v anything past that it flickers. You need a good heatsink and fan because it get very hot. But it works and puts out a good color of light and a lot of it

Better than expected.
At first I was worried that the Blue LED didn't have any actual LED Chiplets, especially at that price, but it turned out to be perfectly normal. The 730nm Far RED LED met expectations perfectly. I took a spectrum of the light output at 10mA/15V (the dimmest it would go) and the wavelength accuracy was excellent. It worked perfectly installed on https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D1LD68C heat sink base, the hard part as always was soldering bare wires to the power pads. Be sure to keep it from having a large ball of solder (will block the optics) and make sure the solder actual wets the power pad. It takes a lot more heat and time than most people expect.

Nice bright light
Great bright light. It’s buried between that lens and the heat sink with fan. You MUST use a heat sink and preferably a fan (also available on Amazon) or you will burn up the light. Also be sure to use the proper power supply (mounted right below the heat sink fan) to power the light (also available on Amazon). Has run for hours with little heat dissipation ( certainly as compared to the old Metal Halide lamp that was in there!). The old MH bulb cost $145 to replace. This one $10!! I did sacrifice a bit of light output as compared to the 250w MH lamp but totally worth it. Pics is led light on left and MH light on right.

Very poor efficiency when compared to the 50W version.
I have several 50W versions from this same vendor which when I set a bench power supply to a modest output of about 30W (29v @ 1A) it delivers 10k LUX measured at a fixed distance (about 10 inches). All good and I was happy with the performance of that 50W LED. BUT....when i switch to this 100W LED I have to supply over twice the power (over 70W) just to achieve the same 10k LUX at the same distance. Said differently, if I supply the 50W or 100W chips the same 30W of power, the 100W LED is much less than half the LUX at the same measured distance. It makes no sense, over twice the power (and the extra heat need to go somewhere) just to achieve the same LUX as the 50W version. Shame...I'd buy more if the LUX/watt was even close to the 50W version.

Good value for just $10, at 100W power consumption
This product is not so straight forward to use. It requires constant current, this company also sells the drivers, but the user needs more knowledge to use it, because there were people who screwed the chips up by misusing them. A good heatsink is also preferred, better with forced air for the longevity of the chip.

Very bright but misleading in disc.
This is an extremely bright IR LED in the 850nm wavelength. When working with this LED I highly recommend wearing a pair of laser safety glasses or goggles that will adsorb 850nm light. This LED will give you an eye strain headache in a matter of minutes. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UIYKI28?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details . This LED also gets extremely HOT and MUST be mounted to a good heat sink with a fan. I'm using this LED for security camera lighting. and will be mounted outside in an enclosure (old camera housing) The enclosure will be sealed off so water does not enter. I decided to cool this LED with a water cooling system. LED stays cool at 3 amp current. I would have given this LED 5 stars. But I cant figure out how they came up with a 100 watt rating. I did some independent testing. Vfd = 14vdc. Ifd = 3A. Pd = Vfd * Ifd = 42 watts. Still a very bright IR LED. UPDATE: 9/24/2021. I have been using this LED for over 30 days and no issues with it. I am keeping it very cool using a water cooling system. The cooling system is working so good that I decided to pump the current up by 50%. I'm now pushing 4.5 amps. been over a week so far so good. I may design an LED driver circuit determined by temperature of the chip. I am currently driving the LED chip with a 15 volt DC power supply with a series resistor. VERY IMPORTANT!! You must keep this LED cool!! Have any questions? email me at esdpain at yahoo dot com.

These are the best COB's at this price point in my opinion. I thoroughly tested all my COB's at low voltage (About 25V) All the LED's on all 4 of my chips light up at exactly the same voltage. On 100W COB's 10 rows of 10 LED's. That's 400 individual LED's working exactly as expected! These things are impressive. I would love to see someone with a proper light meter compare these to the CREE's and the Vero29's If you want good LED's without spending £20+ a chip these are amazing for the cost. They seem amazingly bright to me but it is hard to tell without a PAR meter or the like DO NOT get the cheapo ones they are not worth the plastic they are moulded in...

The LEDs seem very well balanced, and all start glowing at the same time when I slowly ramp up the current, and I'm very impressed by the light output this thing produces. The back is also coupled quite well to the LEDs thermally and allows me to pull the heat out of it pretty effectively. You definitely don't want to run this without a good heatsink and when it's on you should absolutely not look at the front of it.
