Q: How does it sound outdoors? I feel that most 360 speakers need walls to sound great.

I understand your trepidation however I used the Marshal outside all summer long and to my ears it delivered big, smooth sound as loud as I wanted with nothing behind it. No walls needed to help with the bass.

Q: You you link more than one speaker together can you play them in stereo or do each just play both left and right parts of a song?

I have not been able to even link two of these to play together! But the instructions that I have read many times say that they would not be in stereo if played together.
