Super cheap and reliable strings from a good brand
These are fantastic go-to guitar strings. I'm a causal player and have no need for fancy metals and windings, but I do like reliability and durability. D'Addario's a good and trusted brand, and at such a cheap price I don't really see a reason for me to get anything else. As for gauge, I personally love 10-46 on my LP style guitar (same as the stock ones). Super easy to bend after a few days of the strings stretching and loosening up.

Good quality strings!
For uncoated strings they're decent and last a while but still prefer coated as they last and sound better for much longer. But d'addario strings are decent and good quality strings that I always seem to come back to out of all the other brands!

"Nashville tuning" strings...... for a different, lighter sound.
Having purchased a really beautiful old Hohner guitar recently - which came minus strings and a damaged neck.......after repairing the neck and giving the guitar and a good clean and polish, I decided to invest in this set of "Nashville tuning" strings for a different, lighter sound. (Nashville tuning - using a 6 string guitar - is achieved by using the top - thinnest- 6 strings from a 12 string guitar set-up). Although I'm pleased with the resulting sound, I will add a word of caution... that is the original high "G" string (actually a 9 thou diameter which could be construed a extra light "E" string) snapped between F# and G using standard tuning due to the very high tension limit imposed on this string. After replacing this with another string I decided to tune down a whole tone, reducing this after a few days to a semi-tone below standard tuning. I will probably tune up the remaining semi-tone a little later.

I refuse to use any other strings for electric guitars
I have been using D'Addario strings for electric guitar from early 1990s. I have found them to be the best value for money of all manufacturers that I have tried. They stay break-in relatively quickly, stay in-tune, intonation is consistent between sets, never rust, sound consistent for life of string, last longest of any string I have tried, never snap during tuning until end of life.

The Most Consistent Strings Ever
I’ve a good number of guitars, mainly teles and the odd strat and Gibson. I’ve been using these hybrid strings for the past couple of years and they’re simply superb. Never had a breakage, they don’t rust, they hold tune and are extremely good value, especially the 3 packs. The perfect balance between spaghetti 9’s and finger hurting 10’s and 11’s. I really can’t fault them and they are my go to strings for all my guitars.

Kid Approved and Instantly Noticed the Difference
The D'Addario EXL120 Super Light 9 to 42 strings were an instant hit. My kid tried them and immediately said they feel completely different from the standard Fender stock strings. The lighter gauge makes bends easier, the feel is smoother, and the guitar suddenly became way more fun to play. They sound bright and lively, and the lower tension is perfect for beginners or anyone who likes an effortless feel. Zero complaints, just a very happy young guitarist who now thinks his guitar plays like a dream. Great strings, great value, and a simple upgrade that made a big difference.
