With a distinct jawline, for years I have cut myself with blade razors. With coarse facial hair, other electric razors have struggled. The i9000 is a revelation. At last I can have a pretty close shave witout cutting myself. After about six months, still performs well. Nice looking, comoact and easy to store and carry.

I purchased at the hugely reduced price and so glad I did. It knocks spots off my Braun of same value without the discount. Its so quiet I first thought it wasn't going to be a good shave but it definitely was. I used to take about 5 minutes with my braun and now its around the 3 minute mark.

Like the fact you know how much charge is left. It gives a close shave very quickly, and is very easy to clean. The razor has 3 comfort settings. It doesn't take long to charge. Comes with a cleaning station with cleaning fluid, and a protection case. Overall I'm impressed, well pleased I bought it, the best electric razor I've ever had by a mile.

I've always used Phillips shavers and my last one has lasted at least 12 years. I would never have paid the retail price for this shaver but I assume it's nearly always available at a reduced price and treated myself for Christmas. Shaves very close, quiet and comfortable on the skin. I went for the corded version as it has 1 hour charging as opposed to the wireless charging version which I believe takes 3 hours unless you keep it charged continuously. I have deducted a star for the non inclusion of a stand to keep the razor in when not in use. You get a case, but a simple plastic stand should have been included as with previous models. The cleaning station does not charge and is powered by the shaver running. The shaver has a sensor so it knows when it's upside down. The battery display wakes up when you pick the shaver up, which is a nice feature. It's not a great display but functional with minutes remaining, cleaning reminder. There are three power levels to choose from, I'm using maximum. So far, seems a great shaver but it really should be considering the price!

I have had a few brands or shavers over the years, but the last Philips I had was so good (5000 series) that when that one finely started to take longer to charge (its years old) I decided to go for Philips again and although this Prestige model is a lot of money, wow, its worth every penny. A fast comfortable and smooth shave even with 5 day old stubble. The heads glide smoothly, the shaver gets every hair, even those odd funny angle ones the old shaver used to need 2 to 3 passes to get. I am delighted with this shaver and highly recommend it. One of the most obscure but useful improvements in design has to be the hinged head which makes cleaning it simpler. Philips are expensive but worth the money for the quality and the results
