Rare Scented Orchid Phalaenopsis Orchid Plant Bolgheri - Orange Blooms in 12 cm Pot 45 cm Height

This is a beautiful plant that was delivered a bit later than predicted but that was possibly due to the very cold & frosty weather we've been having since Christmas week. Nevertheless it was in perfect condition, none of the 4 or 5 stems full of flowers & buds were broken off in transit. The colour of the Phallenops flowers are very striking & I'm very impressed with this plant. I worked as a plant buyer for a Garden Centre for nearly 20 years so I know my onions and I can highly recommend this plant business. Of course when there is damage to any online plant order it is usually because of the manner in which it was delivered by the delivery company. So if you're unhappy with a plant contact the supplier, complain about the delivery and return it. It's the only way they will actually know that the item hasn't been delivered with care. A lot of delivery people seem to completely ignore "fragile and this way up" signs. And there is many a plant box that has been ripped or crushed that I've been unlucky enough to receive over the past 30 years. But this orchid is an especially quality plant & was delivered in perfect order.

Stunning orchid. I've ordered 6 if these as gifts and for myself. Blooms last for ages and the scent is subtle but lovely. AAA.

Arrived in brilliant condition and very healthy but very disappointed with the scent as there is no smell at all which was the reason for buying it. Lovely colour but sad 😥 No Lovely aroma!!!

I bought this orchid a year ago. It arrived well and healthy with 3 flowered stems. I didn’t appreciate the scent till months later. At first I thought the description was dishonest but then I realised it does have a nice spiced scent. The flowers looks fantastic. The flowers lasted many months and second stem has come out and already flowering again!

Moth Orchid or Phalaenopsis to give the plant's its proper botanical name. Plant arrived in good condition leaves healthy, buds ok. Plant well packaged. Instructions provided but with poor information not Good enough here! Beautiful Flowers but unfortunately the scent was some what aloof! Even on warm days when the plant should have produced its scent! I Could not trace any sign's of it at all! Probably due to the fact that the plant has come into a new environment that is alian to it this can cause this to happen and the fact that the new and older buds too have dropped off are signs that the plant is not happy bunny! Most if not all Orchids should come from ie be grown in well controlled environments ie Growing conditions so they get plenty of TLC. But being delicate plants the moving process can also shock them as well especially if any plants are left in coldplaces 🥶 These orchids must have warmth at all times as they are tropical to sub tropical Species in Nature with certain growing requirements ie, requiring high daytime temperatures with slightly lower nightime ones that induces flowering and high humidity levels and good light but with the plants being well positioned away from hot 🌞 sunny windows especially in summer ☀️ but remembering to grow them in good indirect light. Keep the plants well away from open windows and from cold drafts too ! Keep the plants evenly moist & fed all year round without overwatering them which is vital to there well-being. Not an easy plant to grow in the house, but its possible with care! Really they are best grown in glasshouses or in a warm conservatory. Best to seek some advice on this In the first place if you are unsure!

Minus 5 stars! my worse purchase on Amazon. the plant is small and very weak. it was squeezed in a box much shorter than the plat so both stems with flowers were snapped. the wood chips from the pot are all over the package and roots are fully exposed. this is definitively not a product for this price, you can get a better orchid for a tenner in the supermarket. I keep the plant because I feel sorry for it - it will not make it back in this state and probably will be dumped. the scent is very weak and I'm not sure if it's pleasant - more like smell of grass.

It’s alright for a collector if you wish to add to your collection in the hopes of it re blooming, however, if you wish to enjoy a blooming orchid for a while save your money. Majority of blooms shrivled and fell in less than a week. Compared to a Tesco orchid I got in November which is still full of beautiful flowers and was only £12 I do not seem this good value for money. Fingers crossed that this one reblooms because if it doesn’t it’s totally not worth the money at all. also I noticed that on a lot of other customer pictures there are 3 stems, mine only came with 2. Those 2 stems are fixed in an unflattering way in which the branches with blooms were tangling together. Overall not worth the money at all.

Wow this is probably the best orchid I've ever bought and I've bought a few store bought orchids. It came really well packaged and a lot of care was put into it. The plant itself i really healthy with bright green leave and vibrant colourful flowers. It comes in a generic clear plastic pot with a bit of orchid compost so I would advise re potting it but make sure to use orchid potting compost I am trying a self watering wicking pot. Overall I am very pleased with the orchid and it does have a subtle pleasant scent to it.
