A really good fountain pen - nice size and weight, the balance is good and the cap fits well. The nib is medium, writes smoothly and the ink flows through it well.I'm a left hander, and the nib worked well for me. I used ink instead of cartridges - no problem with the converter and I was surprise how much ink it holds (what I mean is that I seem to have written an awful lot on a single refill. Very impressed.) The customer service is brilliant - they keep in touch to check everything is okay. I had given up on using a fountain pen again - I've had some very expensive ones that have had no end of problems. Yet this one is fine. Looks nice, comfortable grip, writes well. Does what it says on the tin! In fact i'm so pleased I'm going to buy another!

Dryden provide phenomenal product and service. I received a beautiful fountain pen, a gift for my son, and he loved it. The pen is of high quality with a more than reasonable price tag. It writes beautiful as it glides across the page, line after line. I bought this to practice my handwriting. I like the fountain pens that aren't too heavy and easy to hold for longer periods of time and I was very happy with it. The writing is very smooth. I have another Cross fountain pen and the quality of this is no less than Cross. The only reason I gave this 4 stars rather than 5 is because when it initially arrived, I was having problems as it would dry out really quickly (within seconds). However, I ran the nib under running water and cleaned it 3-4 times and haven't had a problem with it since then. The writing is very smooth. If you don't want to spend too much money on a high quality product, I highly recommend it.

I'm extremely happy with this pen. Great value for money, feels and looks more expensive than the price in my opinion. Easy to fill or use a cartridge, a good weight and length for my hand which is quite long/large and well balanced. Smooth writing nib. Arrived in a drawstring pouch with some printed instructions for use. Very impressive customer service - a follow up email after purchase to ask how you are getting along with the pen, with fountain pen hints and tips, and a free e-book on signatures. Unfortunately my parcel was lost (by the Amazon delivery agency, not by Dryden) and Dryden were proactive in following that up for me and in resolving it very quickly. Excellent communications and customer service.

This is a nice fountain pen but a bit lightweight I was expecting it to be chunkier and it has a design fault in that half the time when I pull the cap off to start writing the nib end is stuck inside and this is a bit annoying. But it writes easily and flows nicely.

I had to replace a rival branded pen I had used happily for years. I purchased this just over 1 year ago. This seemed like a good bet with all kinds of promises. These promises were the basis upon whch I purchased the pen. Sadly, the pen does not live up to reasonable expectations. I really tried hard to make it work, but it is so scratchy and fine (I purchased a medium nib, no way is this medium) it is like trying to write with a sewing needle. I now realise I wasted my money. I've tried generic and branded cartridges- all perform the same in practice. The thing is, once you purchase, you're stuck. I may have been unlucky compared to others. But I am noticing via reviews that those who are happy are using bottled ink. If that is what you'll be using, you may be fine. In my view, you may be lucky if you plump for cartridges, but if not, you'll have a scratchy, irritating experience requiring multiple washings of the nib, squeezing the cartridge to increase the flow and then putting it away and reaching for a uniball. I'm disappointed and fed up. Update. I thought I'd purchase some ink and try the pen with the converter to provide some balance. Sadly, this proved to be equally disappointing. There was a slight increase in ink flow, but the nib is still irritatingly scratchy and the insrtructions aren't clear, resulting in the entire contraption falling to bits into the ink and staining my hands. I tried writing and the flow is poor. See pictures. I included the ink bottle so you can see it's proper branded ink, and some handwriting attempts. So, so so disappointed with this pen. Given the positive reviews, I reluctantly conclude I got a duff one. Perhaps. If you do go ahead and purchase, my advice is to try the pen extensively when you get it and return it if it does not live up to your expectations. It's too late for me to do this. (Anyone fancy a scratchy unreliable pen out there? I've got one here you can have!)

I'd wanted a refillable pen for some time (trying to stop using throwaway plastic) but have always been priced out of the market. I bought this pen based on its looks, reviews and a leap of faith. The pen arrived quickly in a soft pouch. I struggled a bit to fill it but once i got the hang of it, it was fine. The pen writes smoothly with no blockages. It works from most angles and made my handwriting look a bit more presentable! It felt comfortable in my hand and looks attractive.

I love writing with a fountain pen and have been looking for a reasonably priced replacement for a long used one that has seen better days and decided to try a Dryden and I can honestly say that I am very pleased I did, the pen writes very well, is very well priced and looks good, really I can't fault it so much so I bought a second one in a different colour.

This is my first fountain pen and I have been really enjoying it. It took a couple days to really get the hang of it. At first the writing was a bit streaky, but I don't know if that was user error, or just getting the ink flowing well. After a couple weeks, the ink flows smoothly and reliably. I have had no issues with leaking. I think I might have preferred a fine tip, but this one writes very nicely and I still love it. The pen itself is a nice weight, although I prefer to write I posted. It also looks very nice. Overall, I'd say this is a great pen and I like that it came with ink cartridges.

What's to dislike? The pricing is good. The quality seems solid (had it for just a week). The grip is slightly contoured so that it's easy on the knuckles. The weight is balanced. The ink flow is constant and even. And, most importantly, it writes nicely, giving enough friction to "feel" the paper and yet glides effortlessly without causing fatigue. Will consider the bamboo or red wood style just to feed my vanity :).

Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Habe den Füller schnell nach meiner Bestellung geliefert bekommen. Der Füller ist sehr edel verarbeitet, etwas schwerer und liegt dadurch gut in der Hand. Man hat ein tolles Schreibgefühl, und zumindest bei mir hat sich das Schreibbild im Vergleich zu meinem vorherigen Lamy Füller ganz gut gesteigert. Super fande ich den bereits mitgelieferten Tintenkonverter. Das Auffüllen des Konverters hat bei mir leider nicht über die Feder geklappt, aber ohne Feder ging es leicht mit dem Befüllen der Tinte. Beim Schreiben öffnet sich, vermutlich nur meinem etwas stärkeren Griff geschuldet, leider manchmal der Federkopf vom Ende. Aber das stört mich nicht und wird sich sicher nach einigem „Einschreiben“ auch legen. Insgesamt bin ich echt zufrieden. Der Preis ist für die Optik und Qualität absolut angemessen. Ich würde ihn immer wieder kaufen und kann ihn jedem nur ans Herz legen :)

This pen has exceeded my expectations as far as quality goes. It just feels luxurious. Even the click the cap makes when putting it back on to the pen has a satisfying feeling to it. The writing quality is excellent as well. I had this pen arrive exactly when it said it would and I was very impressed with that. Although I was under the impression that the pen would come with ink, I received an email shortly after I placed my order stating that it would not be arriving with ink. This wasn't an issue for me because I had already planned to fill it with a nice burgundy shade ink, it may inconvenience others who expected it to have a loaded cartridge, but for the price who cares. Fantastic product, would recommend.

This pen has succeeded in delivering the experience that I was looking for. It writes smoothly and consistently, and it looks fantastic. While I am very happy with my purchase, there a few things I want to mention that I didn't know until after I recieved my pen, that you, the reader, may want to know prior to purchasing this item. The pen is rather small. Not much wider than a standard ballpoint pen, and about the same length. The pen is light, we the body is made of resin rather than metal. If you're someone with big hands, you might need to find a different pen. When unscrewing the main body piece to reveal the ink converter, I noticed that the segment loosens its grip very easily. I've noticed a handful of times when removing the pen from my pocket that the main body has become halfway unscrewed from the tip. This isn't any sort of major flaw, but something that could potentially cause a mess in your pocket, or just be a small inconvenience. The pen's nib writes a little scratchy. Most other fountain pens don't produced much in terms of audio feedback when writing, but this one does. This can be a plus of a negative, if you do or don't like the sound. Everything else worked just as I expected, and overall I am very pleased with this product. It also arrived perfectly on time, too.
