Therefore it shall be placed close to the satellite dish (but indoors / weather protected). **Q: Just had this delivered, check everything, I've lost most of channels working before with no signal, what could be wrong?** A: I have 4 of these and they all do an excellent job. I would have though that it is unlikely that the device its self is faulty, although it's not impossible of course. Maybe you have installed it the wrong way round or in the wrong place. Or you have another fault such as a bad F type connector fitting/wiring - or a short circuit/water ingress on your coaxial cable from the dish. I suggest you remove the device to get back to your original configuration, see if it works, and go from there. **Q: Hi, why does it say in description, 'Broadband'? Works a treat now! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ improves signal *by S***T on 6 August 2018* does what it says on the tin ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A significant increase to the signal strength *by J***P on 2 April 2018* My satellite cable is 50 meters in length and the signal strength had degraded to around 30% by the time it reached the set top box. I purchased two of these amplifiers, which boosted the signal strength to 90%. I placed the amplifiers in the loft, so nearer to the satellite dish. The cable runs to the lounge, so quite a distance. I use this with Sky Q by the way.
