You don't have that luxury with something like chewing gum, so you're going to taste the caffeine a little--this stuff isn't the best tasting gum, but I never found it to be that unpleasant, either. I don't drink coffee and I've mostly cut soda out, so I've been using caffeine pills when I needed a boost and found them to be very harsh, and they also take a long time to take effect. The caffeine delivered through the gum seems to arrive quicker, and doesn't upset my stomach like the caffeine pills did. Based on its effectiveness and not entirely objectionable taste I can't not recommend the product...though I think you should buy an individual pack of it at a gas station before investing in a $20, 8-pack box of the stuff.
