We had a series of power cuts - no fun in a freezing January. Bought two flasks, one for coffee and one for hot water in order to have hot drinks available in a power cut and afterwards to save power by avoiding having to keep boiling the kettle or using the microwave through the day. I somewhat cynically tested the water temperature next day after 17 hours by pouring a little water over my fingers. It was hot - not boiling - but hot enough to make me jump! Hot after 17 hours seems remarkable to me. Very impressed!

This carafe is just what we needed to keep boiling water at a good temperature for herbal (or black) tea for 9/10 hours. It can make black tea with a dash of milk and be at a temperature for immediate drinking (depending on how many hours the boiling water has been in the carafe) or how hot 🔥 you like your tea! The heat retention & efficiency of the carafe is definitely enhanced by pre- heating with hot as possible tap water for about 5 minutes before filling with boiling water from a kettle. We decided we would store boiling water from our kettle in a flask so the heat is retained and easy and quick to use which also saves electricity. A domestic electric kettle repeatedly boiled takes a lot of electricity and it is very wasteful to boil water & then just leave it in the kettle to go cold! Keeping the water hot in a flask or carafe makes sense as convenient and quick to use during the day for herbal or black tea or coffee (if you use instant coffee. ...for example "Lavazza Prontissimo" or "Millicano" or any of the combined fine ground & instant for speed it would be fine) We prefer to use a gas top coffee pot for our "1 a day" coffee made in a percolater "Bialetti " or similar. We have, however, used a large (1.8 Litre) basic glass lined flask to store our boiled water from the gas hob kettle in this way for years but decided to try a carafe as easier to pour for tea and looks much nicer anywhere in the house. Happy to say this carafe is perfect. We filled it last night at 10pm and made 2 cups of black tea with a dash of milk (straight into the cups) at 7am this morning. Excellent. If you like scalding hot tea ☕ you could pour the hot water from the carafe back into your kettle and it would take less time (& electric or gas) to boil! No brainer as they say..Best of both worlds! We decided to get a 2 litre kettle and use it on our gas hob 2 years ago to save on electricity and it's great and there is no ignoring that whistle!! Phew quite a long story! In summary... the carafe is great if used according to the advice about pre-warming and easier to pour and stylish to look at too😊😊

I like it the product, Delivery on time But didn’t keep hot as promised I filled up with boiling water first , left for around 10minutes. Then after I removed hot water and filled up with coffee at 5:00 am as go to work . By 11:30 ( my brake time ) , the coffee was JUST warm ( I mean Luke warm only) Had to re-heat in microwave.

Excellent product. Kept water hot as advertised! It was so good I bought a second one for catering.

The screw on lid button press dispenser breaks!!! It leaves the product unfit for purpose … not just because it then no longer pours but because it then leaks extremely hot liquid contents out onto unsuspecting users … until pressed the contents are intended to be sealed within the flask … Further to this the part that I assume breaks is a tiny cylindrical piece of black plastic … (think the shape of a toilet roll tube only it’s solid and about 1mm in diameter and 2 possibly 3mm in length) Fell out whilst pouring out coffee into a cup … I know this because I choked on it!!! Needless to say I unfortunately do not have the piece because it fell after I’d coughed it up but I guarantee that if sn investigation was done on the design of the lid it will show a piece as I described within the contraption of the lid (probably as I suggested it’s part of the levers pivot mechanism but obviously it could easily be an injection moulding point but regardless it is dangerous!!!)

Easy to use, keeps drinks warm for hours, was given as a gift and continues to be used daily, worth the money and lasts a long time
