Jane Packer's Flower Course: Easy techniques for fabulous flower arranging

I bought this book as I would love to do my own wedding flowers next year and this book has really inspired me to do so! The designs are beautiful and the instructions seem very easy to follow. I can't wait to start practicing!

Did not dislike anything about this book. The photography was brilliant and the subject matter very interesting and informative. One to keep.

Bought this as I was asked to put together flowers for a wedding and I panicked. The book itself is beautiful - has plenty of lovely ideas and you should be able to follow it to produce some lovely arrangements. May be best for those that already know some basics - but would make a beautiful present to anyone interested in flower arranging.

I have been clasical flower arranging for 30 years. I wanted a book for a modern twist using more flowers & less foliage. I feel inspired by this book with it's easy step by step approach. I may even tackle a bride's bouquet.

Great pictures ,detail and very informative.

The book is well laid out an d explanitory but it wasn;t quite what I was looking for. I wanted some ore basis hints and tips. I did keep the book as it did have some good ideas I felt I could use. A better book for a bwginner is the Beginners Guide to Floristry which I also purchased.

I have never seen one of this ladies books before so cannot comment on whether it is a rip off in that respect. What I can say is that I joined a flower arranging course for beginners. And I had completely forgotten that you do not always have to use Oasis or any other fixing. Sometimes it is OK to just let the flowers speak for themselves. So a friend recommended this book. I am so pleased that she did.

I am giving this book a 5 star review even though I returned it. It was well written with beautiful photos. The reason I returned it was due to the lack of basic bouquets and flowers (and Amazon packed it in a box causing it to get scuffs and corner dents). The flowers they used for design were ones that I can't just go buy or grow. It is more on the level of floral designer that has access to wholesale buying. I was wanting more basic instruction and inspiration for cottage style bouquets that I could make out of my garden.
