This device is a battery powered underwater vacuum cleaner with a rotating rubber brush. It has multiple modes, but the basic mode is to first clean the pool sides and then to clean the pool bottom. It is effective at removing silt and leaves that are then deposited into a basket. It seems less effective at scrubbing algae. The vacuum basket is easily removed from the machine and is easily emptied and then cleaned with a hose. The machine runs until the battery reaches a predetermined charge level (15% I think). Then it stops, showing a red indicator light. It almost always stops at the bottom of the pool wall, but in a somewhat random location along the perimeter. You pull the machine out of the pool with a standard pool pole fitted with a supplied plastic hook. The hook easily engages a slot near the indicator light. It is easy to engage, even at night, due to the proximity of the indicator light. You pull the machine up and let it drain for about 20 seconds while holding it over the pool. Then it can be lowered to the ground. The machine is not lightweight, but is not too difficult to carry. The machine is returned to its charging location (near a socket) and the vacuum basket is emptied and cleaned. Then you plug in the charging cable - this is easy. To start cleaning, you hold the machine just above the water surface along a wall. Turn it on by holding the button by the handle for several seconds. When it beeps it can be dropped into the water and away it goes... As mentioned, it is effective at gathering silt and leaves. A complaint is that the instructions warn not to charge the battery fully. However, the included (free) phone app has no means of controlling the maximum charge level, so it always charges to 100% unless you track the charge and unplug it early. The phone app communicates with the machine and can, for example, set its cleaning mode. Not providing a means to limit charging is out of character with the excellence of the rest of the machine. The full-charge run time of about three hours is more than enough to cover most pools, so an 85% charge limit would still provide ample performance while lengthening battery life. My prior pool vacuum was also electric, but powered by a cable hooked up to a power supply plugged into the house. This worked pretty well, but the local raccoons like to bite the cable for some reason. Eventually (twice), the cable failed due to these bites. A $400 replacement cost took the fun out of such antics. This battery-powered machine solves the raccoon problem!

This baby has saved me so much time! First time pool owner here and it is easy to use, clean, and maintain. Charge and throw it in the pool, the floor looks immaculate. Track the charging outside of the pool on the app. When its done, clean, dump, and rinse the filter and its ready to go again. Comes with a tool to help you get it out of the pool. Lightweight and simple. Worth the money

I just got the new Aiper Scuba S1 pool cleaner but so far it seems good. The basket comes with an extra filter for finer sediment that get dirty quick. It was easy to clean though. The battery lasted almost 3 and half hours off of the first charge. We will have to see if it lasts longer on the second charge.

I'm very impressed with the Aiper Scuba S1. It's small and lightweight for it's size, yet has a very solid build quality and one of the best filtration baskets I've seen on any pool cleaner robot. The basket has 2 layers, the second being an ultrafine washable liner. You can choose to use it, or leave it off and only pickup medium to large debris like leaves with the main mesh filter basket. This robot cleans the bottom and the sides of your pool. It moves quite quickly for it's size and has a good amount of suction, not much left behind after a single pass. There are 4 modes accessible with the power button on the front: bottom only, side only, bottom + sides, and a periodic cleaning mode where the robot only cleans ever few days and stays submerged until the battery dies or the filter is full. There is the Aiper app which is pretty easy to pair and use. It gives you the exact battery left on the robot, and you can choose modes from the app. You will need an account to use the app. I'm terms of what sets this apart from other pool robots of this size: the robot is quick, it navigates exceptionally well for this price point, and it has good range and battery life for medium size pools (1600sqft). The 150mins seems to be as advertised, that's with a mix of wall and bottom cleaning I was able to get similar. The only downsides to this robot, compared to larger and much more expensive ones: the brushes are not as large so it takes a bit longer to clean, less numerous brushes (single row vs double row), and the way in which it cleans walls is less sophisticated. This robot starts at the bottom, goes up the wall in a straight line, returns to the starting point, and then moves over and begins again. It's a slow pattern. Larger and much more expensive robots (like the flagship Aiper robot) have more suction and are able to drive sideways on the wall in an N pattern, something this one can't do. Overall it's a fantastic pool cleaning robot. It gets the job done. It has ample battery life. And it does everything you could want in a pool robot at a very competitive price. This is perfect for inground and out of ground pools.

Donc il nettoie bien, mais est plus lent. Toutefois, gardez à l’esprit que le Scube S1 coûte beaucoup moins cher que les modèles plus performants, certains modèles de la concurrence se vendent jusqu’à 5000 tomates! Le Aiper Scuba 1 est plus abordable et vaut vraiment la peine.

I've been using the Super Scuba S1 for a few weeks now, and overall it's been a helpful addition to my pool routine. The setup was straightforward—just plug it in, drop it in the water, and it gets to work. I was genuinely impressed by how quiet it is compared to other models I’ve tried. It doesn't disrupt the peace of the backyard, which is a nice bonus. Performance-wise, it does a solid job on both the floor and walls. It picks up most leaves, sand, and finer debris pretty consistently. The filter basket is easy to remove and rinse out, which makes maintenance low-effort. I also appreciate the lightweight design—it’s not a struggle to lift out of the pool. That said, there are a few things to be aware of. The app connectivity can be a little temperamental. Sometimes it doesn't connect right away, or the cleaner doesn’t follow commands perfectly. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it could use some refinement. Also, while it climbs the walls well most of the time, it occasionally misses spots around the waterline or gets stuck for a bit before correcting itself. The cord can also get slightly twisted, even though it's designed to be tangle-free. It’s minor, but still something to keep an eye on during longer cleaning cycles. Overall, the Super Scuba S1 is a capable, user-friendly pool cleaner that takes a lot of the manual work off your plate. The filtration system is another strong point. The included 3-micron ultra-fine filter picks up fine particles like pollen and dust really well. Just keep in mind that the filter is replaceable and will wear down over time, especially with frequent use. Plus, the over-the-air updates make it feel like the device will keep improving over time, which is a nice touch. I have to qualify this review by saying that my pool is a humpback kidney shape; so there are no straight edges. It is also about nine feet deep in the deep end with very steep bottom contours and very few flat areas. The pool's volume is about 80,000 litres. I am saying this because the back and forth pattern the vacuum is supposed to do, just doesn't happen in my pool. That being said, by the time it completes its cycle, there is very little, if anything left on the bottom of the pool. It runs for about two and a half hours, and during that time, it seems to get pretty much everywhere. It is very easy to use. You hold the power button to turn it on, then select the cycle, which is intuitive using the icons on the display. The cycles were actually labelled incorrectly in the manual but easy enough to figure out. The app for your phone is simple enough but really quite unnecessary because all it does is select the cycle; which you have to do each time you turn it on anyway. It is very easy to fish out of the pool with the included hook; however a small amount of debris seems to fall back in as it is being lifted out of the pool. The pictures I took are meant to show that my pool did not seem very dirty, but the vacuum seemed to find more than was visible. The really nice thing too, is that the vacuum is self-contained and nothing it sucks up goes through the filter system of the pool. A huge plus in how often you would need to backwash and I would think it would extend the life of the sand filter. For that reason alone, I would recommend this vacuum. It may seem expensive, but it is roughly half the price of more well known pool brands with similar features. I would give this product 4 out of 5 stars, with the debris that falls back into the pool when being lifted out and occasionally not getting everything being the only things keeping it from getting 5 stars. A very good product for the money.
