This tumbler changed my life. I had previously suffered with my old Harbor Freight tumbler which had that black rubber container with the metal cap that was impossible to pry off easily and broke every fingernail on every hand, each and every time I used it. It wobbled and bumped and would only turn if it were lifted on a slant and fed a steady stream of WD-40. I think that even if I were not scarred for life by my old tumbler, I would still be thrilled to death with this Vevor tumbler! Everything about it is easy and fun! It is quiet and powerful and does in half an hour what would take me hours on end with my old one. It’s also so much fun to watch it tumble! I did not use the shot it came with, as I’m paranoid about whether or not that is actually stainless steel or just plain steel and don’t want to chance it. So I’m using my jeweler’s mix of stainless steel shot from RioGrande with their Super Sunsheen burnishing compound and it works beautifully. Opening and closing the top of the tumbler is so easy, just slide the bar through the openings and flip the clamp to lock and unlock. So easy to check on things mid-stream as it only takes a minute. Plus, unlike the rubber containers, the solution does not get gray or black-ish, it just remains clear and clean all the time. I love all things Vevor!

So i bought this to clean a bunch of old pennies that I was trying to separate copper from zinc and hopes of finding some wheaties. I used ceramic media and dawn dishsoap. More media than pennies. 60% speed for maybe 2 hours. Cleans the funk and buildup off and keeps the original patina look. Finish look is more like I've carried the pennies in my pocket for a weeks straight. Too loud to leave in the same room so I use it in a sun room and can't really hear it.total weight of pennies and media is probably close to 20 lbs. No issues with the machine so far.

I have many tumblers but this beats them all for the price. When this arrive I opened it and thought no way is this going to be able to tumble the weight advertised. I purchased the smaller one because I didn't think it would work and I would be returning it, but I was shocked because it works great! I loaded it up and it had no issues handling the weight as advertised. It has been running non-stop for two weeks now and no issues. It does not run hot not even warm , it just keeps running. There is one issue! I am running this as a rock tumbler and it works great, but the abrasive material used to tumble turns the inside of the clear plastic drum cloudy and dark, Now I do not find this as an issue because I am not using it as a jewelry tumbler. If it was used to clean only jewelry without abrasives the barrel would stay clean and clear. I just wish the company that makes these would make a tumbling barrel for rocks out of a rubber like material. So if the manufacturer sees this review I want you to know you could make a lot more money if you made a barrel that could be used for rock tumbling. In closing this review I love this tumbler so much I am going to purchase the bigger version.

It’s nice but if you tighten it just a little too much, the plastic cracks. Not very durable. Also, it rusts and it’s not easy to get all the soap out. I will be getting a different brand. This one looks cool but isn’t the best design.

I bought this for tumbling brass it works great. I don’t know how long it will last but it works great for now. It is well constructed and it’s not loud. You can hear the brass tumbling around but the motor is very quiet. It is very easy to use.

I have used this several times now and I find this to be fantastic for copper jewelry, I would never get these polished and deburred so well by hand. I have not used it to tumble a lot of heavy items so not sure about that. I have tumbled pendants, bracelets and jump rings. The tumbler eliminates my need to file and buff, such a time and hand saver. I have not tumbled anything more than a couple of hours, so results may be even better over longer periods of time but keep in mind the unit has a 1 hour timer and will shut off so you will need to reset it. I did have some leaking from time to time, until I realized that I could tighten down the 2 metal screws that hold the lid handle in place. I did 1 additional revolution on one side and now the lid is very secure. I add water only and just enough to cover the stainless shot and add in my pieces on low for a bit and work my way up to 3 or 4 as the pieces become work hardened. The stainless shot looks exactly the same as when it arrived, I do rinse, drain and dry them after use. Yes it is loud, not the unit itself, but all the stainless balls tumbling around, I just moved it to another room and close the door (yes I can still hear it, lol)

It’s works good but is difficult to keep clean after every use. The steel shot has to be cleaned and dried in between uses or rust will form. The tank sometimes leaks, more so if you add too much soap I think.

Love it! Started using it after reading the directions! Coins are not harmed during the cleaning process. Great tool for cleaning coins!

Broke after 3 months of very light use. Do not bother cheap crap ! DO NOT BUY !!! Terrible item
