Gotten WAY more use than I ever thought they would!!!
I love these things, I've used them to aerate my lawn and also use them when I painted both my garage floor and basement floor. They prevent from leaving marks when walking on wet paint so I could sprinkle the terrazzo chips over the wet paint and have proven to be quite handy for me. I have beat the heck out of these shoes in my back yard and have been using them for the past 3 years and they are still fully functional despite one of the prongs being bent. My boyfriend is typically able to just use locking pliers and bend the prongs back to straight when they bend occasionally. And ANY prong on ANY brand aerator shoes are susceptible to bending it is just the nature of the beast, yards have rocks, it just happens. The prongs are replaceable I just have not found a need to buy replacement ones because it is such an easy fix. Even with the occasional need to bend them back into straight studs, none of them have broke off, chipped or become unusable. The only issue I've ever had is not an issue with the shoe but more an environmental factor, there are times that the ground is too tightly packed for me to even penetrate the earth. Sometimes it is going to take a bit more than 120 lbs to break through the dirt. But that has nothing to do with the functionality of these shoes. The Velcro is still in tip top shape and the straps have not frayed or come apart in any single way. They are easy to get on and off and just take a few mins to get used to walking in them when you first get them. You really just need to focus, your body movement must be very intentional when wearing any aerator shoes. Remember you can not twist your body as you can when simply walking every turn you make has to be very intentional or you absolutely will fall, believe me I've fallen on SOOO many occasions when wearing these. Luckily I'm accident prone so I'm naturally good at falling lol, not once has it resulted in any injury or pain of any kind. When you are a klutz you adapt in life lmao! I highly recommend these shoes they may even serve purposes for you in more areas than just aerating your yard!

Nice product
Works well…especially on a flat lawn. I was able to wear them while cutting the grass. Also wore them while spreading grass seed. Leaves nice holes that are barely noticeable but they do go in about 2 inches. You should lift your knees a little more while walking in them so you don’t pull up chunks of dirt/grass. They strap on well and you can adjust them to what is comfortable for your foot. I wear a size 12. Probably best for those with a shoe size between 9 and 13.

Metals bends easily
After walking around for a few minutes the metal on the bottom was bent on half the spikes. Had to keep bending them back with pliers. Beyond that they work decently.

Easy to use (with some caution) and effective
I know that a core aerator would be much better, but I purchased this item as a quicker alternative. They might be trickier to use: I used them as I was using crampons to climb glaciers and they worked just fine. My suggestion: wear sturdy pants, fit them over boots (not shoes) and use a stick to improve balance. Also: prior to every use, check that the spikes are not loose. Keep the straps on the inside: its easier to fit it over the boot. The only complain is that the wrench provided is poor quality, barely enough to tight the spikes.

The Best
Easiest and cheapest way to aerate your lawn. These are good quality. I am happy about choosing this pair because it has a metal aluminum base which will not break like the plastic base ones. And it has several straps to hold to your shoes to give you more stability. If you have a small yard and do not want to pay a lot for aerating your lawn, buy these.

They do work, but I suggest you wear boots like the picture shows.
I have a 200 pound tortoise that walks my backyard grass all day, so you can imagine how compacted the soil must be. I bought these aerator shoes, put them on, and walked back and forth over the compacted grass/soil for about 30 minutes. I wore Skechers shoes and when I was done, I noticed the black straps that cross over the front and back of my ankles had worn the skin down on one of my feet causing it to be raw and sore. I learned then to wear boots. They performed great! I saw an improvement in how the water soaked into the grass/soil much easier and started to green up again. I will add that you may have to soak the ground area that you wish to aerate. It makes walking and penetrating the ground much easier.

Decent
Ok product. Dirt definitely sticks after a few steps and spikes are thin and not that long
