Scalp Treatment Tea Tree Shampoo, Encourages Scalp Well-Being and Leaves Hair Soft, 32 Fluid Ounces

Like the large bottle and the robust pump. Have used other Avalon Organics shampoos, so far am enjoying this one and my scalp feels comfortable. Amazon packaging has become very inadequate, this large bottle with pump should have been well protected to avoid spillage and damage, just randomly thrown into a box with other items, not good!

I have been using this Avalon Scalp Treatment Tea Tree shampoo for a couple of months now and here's my opinion on using it so far: In short: Overall a good shampoo if you have a dry scalp that needs some help getting better. I have yet to find a healthy-ingredient-shampoo for this purpose that's better than this shampoo. However if you have a healthy, non-dry scalp, there may be better shampoos out there if your aim is shiny, healthy-looking hair. - - - Detailed Review: About the ingredients: I like that it has health-conscious ingredients and no nasty chemicals like Lauryl/Laureth Sulfates or parabens. About the smell: - Description of smell: Although it's a tea tree shampoo, in my opinion it doesn't smell very strongly of tea tree oil. It smells sweet, almost like a cocktail of pick 'n mix sweets together with something rich and spicy. I guess the spicy scent is the result of the combined effect of the peppermint, eucalyptus globulus,rosemary, camomile, orange peel oil and tea tree oil it contains. - Lingeringness of smell: The smell is clear and fresh when you sniff the bottle but once the shampoo is applied to your head it only leaves a subtle scent behind; the kind of smell that dissipates a little while after washing your hair and doesn't linger much, which is a plus point for me. Appearance: The shampoo is colourless / see-through when you pour it out. Consistency: It has a good consistency that pours well - not to thick, but also not too runny. Using it: - I feel like it's pretty concentrated, so I don't need to use a lot. - Latherability: When I massage it into my hair I like to do a first pass (that usually doesn't lather much), rinse, and then a second pass that lathers very nicely. - Squeak-test: When I wash it out it does leave my hair feeling (and sounding!) squeaky clean. Effectivity: It's really helped with my previously dry, itchy scalp. Since using this I've had reduced dandruff and dryness - it definitely has helped more than other shampoos I've tried. I'm not entirely sure but I think it doesn't make your hair as shiny as other shampoos do, and I've read other reviewers have reported they feel it dries out their hair a little, so the less-shiny thing may be related to that, although my hair still feels soft and not strawish / dry to the touch - it just looks a little more matte than when I use other shampoos.

I’ve used this shampoo for a few years now and it’s really effective for oily scalps. I used to have bumps or pimples on my scalp but no longer after I started using this shampoo. Only thing is that it might make your hair feel dry so definitely use it with a conditioner or just every other day instead of daily.
