And they were all about the horrible toast, that they didn’t fit Toastie, they were all awful. I got so tired of it, that I picked a brand I understood, chose a model and bought it. I picked this one because my husband likes green. It makes lovely toast. It’s not perfect, but for the same reasons that no toaster is perfect. The slots aren’t big enough, but that is a thing. The day manufacturers make toasters that can toast a whole slice of bread in one go, there will be dancing in the streets. We can’t read the numbers on the dials without a torch and a magnifying glass, but that is also a thing. We understand that we have to endure what we cannot change. It’s a good toaster. It looks nice, there’s a choice of colours, it was a good price, and it came the next day. A toaster is always an emergency purchase for me, and therefore not fun. But all day long it’s a toaster, it does its job. And it makes very good toast (but you have to flip the bread). We are lookign for ones at least 15cm long (we toast sideways)** A: Overall Toaster dimensions are 26 x 18 x 29.5 cm Toasting slots dimensions are 13.8 x 3.5, deep is 12 cm **Q: Can you use both sides independently of each other or do you have to use one side in order for the other to work?** A: No they work independently , but this is my second swan toaster in just over two years, and I find I have to turn the bread round halfway through so both sides brown. I think I will be taking up with swan but this has happened on my delonghi toaster so I think it’s just a common fault with all toasters.
