First and foremost you can clearly see my bottle has 60 caps which I am all smiles about. I got this ALA as I take many supplements and ALA helps me to get max effect with some of them. It has show in studies the ability to regenerate the activity of Vitamin C, E, Coenzyme COQ10, glutathione and tocopherol. And what that means possibly is that vitamin C for example has neutralized an oxidant and is now is lacking in ability to neutralize any more but ALA comes along and provides the elements needed so it can work again. So you could possibly get longer action and effectiveness with extended antioxidant activity. Another big reason I take ALA is that it possibly acts as a powerful detox agent. It is widely known in the detox community and in fact is the only one that is supposedly capable of crossing the blood brain barrier. Keep in mind with your desired dosage that when ALA Is made ( yes it's synthetic as the natural form is only find in tiny amounts) that two parts are yielded. One is called S type ALA which is basically useless. The other is R type ALA which is the active form you want. This brand is a combination of the 50/50 split of the two meaning that you are actually getting 325 mgs of active ALA with two of these caps that are 650 mgs of total ALA. Many companies will list the split so you know. Companies who remove the S type pretty much always let you know as that is an expensive process which usually reflects in the selling price. What's great about this brand is that they third party lab tested this in the USA. Many companies are using the sellers of the raw ingredients lab test as a supposed third party lab test and that is obviously the last person you want doing the test. Many ALA companies do not even test their ALA since it's a synthetic but I only recommend tested brands to insure no fakes. What great about the Vimerson brand to get the documentation for the lab test they require the lot number on the bottom of the bottle. So you are actually getting results for the caps in your bottle that was in that lot. All five stars no doubt. These are easy to take and I had no sides. I'm a longtime user of alpha lipoic acid, but it's been pretty much on and off, over the years. Now that I'm "aging", there are particular benefits to taking this that make it very attractive. There is support for aging, of course. But there is also benefit to be had for the metabolism, live, neurological system, cardio system, and it has a very positive impact on inflammation. You'll notice that there is a common thread in all of this. They are all increasing concerns as one ages. I have been told that I have a "fatty liver", probably a result of the health-less American fast food diet. Now it's something I'm concerned about. ALA (alpha lipoic acid) can address that. I like this product very much, but I have to admit that for a thirty day supply (2 capsules per day) it's on the higher end of the price spectrum. Still, a solid product. I recommend ALA to anyone having any of these concerns, or if you simply wish to improve your general health.
