Great Quality, Sharp Blade, Easy to Use
Holy Moly. What an awesome gadget! My peeler fell apart after 30 years and I wanted a replacement. This one is much better - why did I wait so long! I had so much fun peeling sweet potatoes yesterday, I did all of them. It’s very durable and easy for my arthritic wrist the manage. The blade easily removes just the skin with very little effort. Highly recommend

Peels like a dream!
Peeling potatoes is much easier now 😸sharp, sturdy.

Good and sturdy, but no great.
It's somewhat like the more classic design, but is a bit "too much". The handle has a nice grip, but I think is a bit too big. It's sharp as can be, so that's a major plus. I lost the little plastic guard for the blade the first time I took it off. The little doohickey at the end for gouging things like potato eyes is horrible.

I have a hard time eating pickle spears with the skin on. This peels skin off very easily just like any other vegetable. It's very sharp and easy to use.

Great peeler
I had a potato peeler that was.. ok. It would peel regular russet potatoes well enough, but it didn't work well on, say, sweet potatoes. So I decided to splurge and purchase this somewhat fancy peeler. Having owned it a good while now, I can say I don't regret the purchase at all. I'm half convinced this thing could peel a rock. It peels a sweet potato like it's nothing. Zero effort. I like to make mashed sweet potatoes, and I can peel 3 pounds of them in a few minutes; it's super fast. I really like the blade guard as well; just pinch it, slide one side in and then the other, and release. It sticks on well and makes the peeler sit in a drawer nicely.

Nice handle for grip, sharp blade. Cuts smoothly and cleans easily.

While the actual peeling works well, a major design blunder is the way the eye remover at the tip is facing. See my picture for comparison with my old peeler: in the Deiss, the cutting edge of the eye remover faces the same way as the peeling blade instead of the opposite way. This weird choice requires that the peeler be rotated 180 degrees in the hand every time a potato eye needs to be removed or use an awkward motion without rotation. When holding the peeler in eye removal position, one also risks cutting one’s thumb, which then is close to the sharp blade and pushing toward it.

Ich finde den Schäler mit ergonomischem Griff und Doppelklingen super. Er liegt gut in der Hand und es ist egal, in welche Richtung man schält. Ich kann ihn nur empfehlen.

Ho acquistato il Deiss PRO Premium per sostituire il mio vecchio pelapatate, e devo dire che è stata una delle migliori decisioni per la mia cucina. La lama in acciaio inox è estremamente affilata e consente di rimuovere la buccia in modo sottile e uniforme, riducendo al minimo gli sprechi. Il design girevole si adatta perfettamente alle forme irregolari di frutta e verdura, rendendo la sbucciatura più facile e veloce. L’impugnatura antiscivolo è comoda e offre una presa sicura, anche con le mani bagnate. Inoltre, il fatto che sia lavabile in lavastoviglie semplifica notevolmente la pulizia. Dopo diverse settimane di utilizzo, le prestazioni sono rimaste eccellenti, senza segni di usura o perdita di affilatura. In sintesi, il Deiss PRO Premium è un pelapatate di alta qualità che combina efficienza, comfort e durata. Lo consiglio vivamente a chiunque cerchi un utensile affidabile e performante per la propria cucina.
