First time user I ran out of blood pressure meds and tried it - works BETTER (In my opinion)!
Okay, so here's the irony story here - I fell short of making my 20 years to retirement in the U.S. Army because of high blood pressure I could not pass my 2 mile run time. In fact even walking up a one floor staircase brought me totally out of breath because of that. The lisinopril helped but only as a bandaid patch and was never there to SOLVE the problem itself, which was that as a long time junk food addict and eating bad things for me, and by the way NEVER beets (yuck! they taste awful to me)... THIS product gave me the same effect as if I were on a beet diet and it didn't taste like beets at all. I was amazed! What's more - it lowered my blood pressure to the point that I FELT like I was on the meds but even better still - I went off the meds and onto this stuff... and boy, let me tell you. I don't get out of breath anymore. My blood pressure lowered like advertised and I'm literally running around a major one-shop-all store chain in America (and I can only tell you one hint about that, and like the movie "Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World".... it's under a big W. So if I can run around as a picker for online customers at age 55 feeling like I'm 21, then THAT should tell you enough about this product, don't you think? It gives me energy, it lowers my blood pressure, it negates my past condition of being totally out of breath doing the most pitiful of physical activity... it's incredible and I highly recommend it. I think I've been off my blood pressure meds now for 3 whole months and I'm physically just fine without that garbage wreck of a rip off from the pharmaceutical industry. This is what they don't want you to know or ever find out - eat BEETS man. Or at least... this stuff. Okay? This has seriously changed my life for the better recently and I hope others out there with high blood pressure try it too. It WORKS! EDITED (17 SEP 2022) - you CAN buy cheaper other brand products than this for far less money, just so you know. The huge one-stop-shopping chain that lives under "the big W" has such a cheaper similar product. I only mention this now because with the rising cost of inflation I, myself, can no longer afford this brand any longer. Hopefully the competition will, in fact, lower the price a bit so we can all enjoy it. I STILL feel this product is well worth it but if you can't afford it, do know that you can buy something a tad bit more cheaper and still get the same effects. All in all, though, I feel this product is superior by leaps and bounds, so if you can buy it, then by all means, do so if you feel you need such a thing.

2nd Purchase
This is actually our second purchase of these. My cousin recommended these for blood pressure to my parents last summer and she’s a very discerning health conscious person who only recommends items of value. They have a far off expiration in 2027 which is great. Taste wise they are semi-sweet and sort of grab on to the inside of your mouth like an unripe banana. But they are chewy and go down easy. I haven’t felt any side effects. Just like anything else, take everything in moderation. Don’t eat the whole bag, the serving size is 2/day. Beets in general are high in oxalates, and too much of a good thing can cause an increased risk of kidney stones. Just like eating too many peanuts!

An effective blood pressure reducer but a bit sweet.
Both my younger brother (66) and I (74) have seen a marked drop in blood pressure readings after using these for a few weeks. They also taste great. If they made a sugarless version, my rating would be a 5. As a diabetic, I have to take them an hour or two after other sugar-laden vitamin D and spiraling pills. Too bad the vitamin and processed food vendors don't use sweeteners like Stevia and monks fruit, which have far lower impacts on blood sugar.

Too Sweet For My Taste
My Observations, and there are two. Less than a month ago I received my second 3-month supply of Superbeets. Nothing at all happened during the first three months, but I thought I'd give them another shot, maybe it takes more time. My goal was to lower BP a little. When I first got them, I thought them a bit too much like candy, too sweet, but that would be a personal preference. A serving of two Chews has 4g of added sugars. Not a great deal, but day after day, that probably adds up real quick to about 120g a month. I received a recent CR Health newsletter, and it had me check the ingredients a bit closer. It doesn't end with the 4g of added sugars, but there is also Tapioca Syrup and Raw Cane Sugar on the list, although they may be the source of the 4g of added sugars. However, there is also Rebaudioside A among the ingredients, one of the sugar substitutes that CR wants their readers to look for and avoid, if at all possible. For me, that was the proverbial straw and the end of this 'experiment'. No change in BP whatsoever, the unneeded 120g of added sugars a month, and last not least, a sweetener on CR's wanted list, earmarking the remainder of this delicious candy for the trashcan. This is my personal experience and observation, which by no means can be generalized. Some of the users will probably achieve spectacular results, some none at all and everything in-between. Until the remaining two unopened bags are tossed out, I am sorry to have spent the money.

Flavor and Texture
Just began adding these to my daily regimen due to health benefits. It is too soon to know if they will lower BP and cholesterol, but the flavor and texture deserve a high rating.
