Never tried one before and was really surprised how easy it is to make good mashed potato without lumps. One bit of advice I would give is that once you have used it pop it in a bowl of water like a manual masher so that the potato doesn't dry on it and that way it is really easy to clean. Really pleased with this device.

Good product easy to use makes lovely mashed potato

The ricer does work very well, I've used it to make mash a fair bit and the final product is great. The only issue with it is that due to the interchangable plates they get stuck to the plunger every single time requiring you to manually pry it off then reset it at the bottom before refilling it with more potato. It can get a little frustrating and time consuming. It isn't the worst thing in the world but it is far from convenient.

Hi, so this ricer is good, the quality of the material is very sturdy and it's pretty good for the price. The grip is good and it makes mashing simple. However, it lost one star due to one point, the individual plates that the veg, potatoes etc go through gets stuck to the plunger plate meaning you are constantly having to peel it off and place it back in the bottom of the tool. This obviously affects the performance of the ricer as it makes a simple job a little longer. If I had a recommendation, it would be the ability to lock the bottom plate in place somehow. But that would need to come from the manufacturing process. I still like the product, I just find it inconvenient peeling it from the top plate with tatties stuck in-between.
