Bocchi the Rock!, Vol. 1 (Volume 1) Review: I liked it. - Other dude is tripping, the book is on the bigger side when it comes to manga so I didn’t find an issue with the text size. as for the story it’s only fault is how good the anime is in comparison. it being a music story, the anime has the benefit of actually being able to show the music, along side it’s amazing animation. Each character is unique its in own way and its a story that will be at times painfully relatable to introverted musicians. It is a very enjoyable story, the cast is very likable and have clear goals past just working at starry (a live music house not a cafe). The characters will go through clear character development, specially in our main character hitomi. at the the start she is unable to even talk to others, but by the end she is one step closer to playing infront of crowds without having anxiety attacks, made her first real friends, and was finally was able to slowly improve at her new job, a job which requires her to constantly interact with strangers. Review: As fun as K-ON - Rarely read 4-koma but this is really fun. If you have seen the anime their is a difference in how the punchline is done, which shows how great of an adaptation it is. The manga is just as good, and is even better if you want to relate to someone with social anxiety. I recommend listening to the songs online to have another layer to the manga.
