How does one use the odd gizmo with a hitch pin, a U shaped aluminum plate and welded threaded block?

that block keeps the unit from rattling. you insert it into your receiver on the car,then lining up the holes so you can put the pin through the unit. By turning the pin/screw tight It keeps it from rattling . I personally don"t use it,the weight of my bike keeps the hitch from making any noise.

I would think so, it did just fine with a 125. I think it's rated to 600 points
