So I just got this and threw the gloves straight in the wash. (They were a nice unexpected touch tbh, they came in a sealed little bag but I’ll wash new things before use anyway) and did a few moves with it. Now my hands stink of petrol 🤨 I sniffed the grips and they too stink of petrol. Why does my strength builder spring thing smell like petrol? It’s obviously a chemical in the rubber grips but why does they smell so strong? The actual spring strength is a little disappointing. I’ve had a few of these in the past and used them a lot. I didn’t realise they had different spring strengths as I’ve just bought what was in the shops, which is usually just one unit/spring strength. Now I’m unfit and for the last 2 years have done no strength training at all, but ordered the 60kg one as I knew I needed a hefty one having used these extensively in the past. Well it’s too easy to bend. I do behind my head exercise, behind my back, arms outstretched, elbows close to my body, slow release after bending it etc but it’s not as strong as I had hoped. It’s the strongest spring so maybe I super strong and almost superman like (I can’t fly - so I fall short). Jokes aside I wish it was 70kg or 80kg like a previous one I had must have been (which I didn’t realise was 70/80kg, but was slightly stronger than this one). It’s good and I’ll still use it though. As you can see in the photos, it comes with a bag/carrying sleeve and gloves - none of which I expected as I only read a few reviews and the strength of the spring. I didn’t look at the product page itself too close before ordering. It looks rarely good quality but only time will tell how long it holds up. Apart from the smell (which doesn’t fill the air I should add - just local to the unit if you put your nose to it, or handle it and sniff your hands.) apart from the smell and the fact it’s a little too narrow compared to my old ones, I’d still recommend it right now.

Excellent piece of equipment. Nice progression from the 20kg I already had. Works the chest shoulders and arms very well, can be used to train back but doesn't suit me for that, just feels awkward.
