DiversiTech CC-1 Condensate Cop Drain Pan Switch by Diversitech

Q: I have an application where the entire switch may be under water. Will the switched be damaged?

Switch works with a float that trips when float rises so if under water it would be “tripped” all the time. Also not sure how completely waterproof it is.

Q: How far down from bottom of pan can the switch be set or how much water will be left in pan once switch turns back off?

The switch can positioned at any desired depth, normally 1/16 of an inch from the bottom of the pan. Once water is removed or drained the switch will automatically reset to an on position.

Q: Once attached to side of pan, how high should the condensor cop float switch be above the pan? Should it touch the bottom or be an inch above?

In order for your AC to work, the float must hang freely to close the circuit. That is why I prefer 1" above the bottom of pan.

Q: How far past the wall of the pan does this extend into the pan (not up and down)? Also, is the height of the float adjustable?

couple inches, the float only adjusts with the thumb screws you can tighten on side of the pan....height on my pan 1/2" from bottom or 2 1/2" from top, my pan is only 3" deep.
