Not a great hatching ratio
These hatched 5 of the 12 not great odds. But the chicks were super cute and the quail are now thriving.

Extremely Low Hatch Rate
It took me awhile to get this review done and had I read other reviews I would not have purchased. When I received the eggs, I set them in an upright position for 24 hours before placing them in the incubator at 100°F. On day 14, I went into lockdown and increased the humidity. The first chick hatched on day 17. Out of four dozen eggs, only seven hatched. I’ve hatched quail eggs two other times before—one hatch resulted in 17 out of 24 chicks, and the other, 20 out of 24. We contacted seller and received the following: Based on what you’ve described, it does seem like shipping may have impacted this batch more than usual—especially since your setup has worked well before. We do monitor our breeding flock closely and include a hatch card with every order for consistency. I’ve attached our recent hatch rate report so you can see what others have been experiencing with the same batches—it’s always helpful for comparison. While we don’t offer a hatch rate guarantee due to the many factors beyond our control, I do take your feedback seriously. If there’s anything else I can do to help ensure a better outcome next time, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Not a good hatch rate or value for the money at all.

Nice overall
Product was received. 1 egg was broken. That was better than expected. I'll update with hatch rate. .... Had 3 eggs hatch. A little less than I expected

Great packaging, but only half were fertile eggs.
The eggs were packed very well and all arrived intact. I put all 12 in the incubator and on day 18, 5 hatched. I left the other eggs in the incubator 2 extra days and then took the chicks out and put them in the brooder. I candled the remaining 7 eggs, no movement at all and only one looked like it may have started to develope. Took the remaining eggs and cracked them. 6 were not fertilized, and that one had started to grow but had stopped developing not even half way through. The 5 chicks that hatched are cute and doing great! Wishing more had been fertile and a better hatch rate, but it is what it is.

Personally we had a great experience
The eggs arrived intact and they were all fertilized. I had 4 that I couldn’t see inside of them. 2 of them I accidentally cracked trying to see inside. They were alive… I just started lockdown and haven’t wanted to mess with the other two that were hard to see. So now I’ll just wait and discover if they were viable that way. Up until day 15 all chicks on the 8 eggs I was able to see inside of are alive. I’m hoping they make it through lockdown. Will update. Update 4/1/24 6 hatched 3 died during zipping and 1 is still working on absorbing his yolk. I would say the 3 that passed during zipping were probably my fault. One seemed to have drown. The other went the wrong way and didn’t make it and there was one that was wiggling and pipping it looks like he drowned in his blood… not sure why. Sad but happy with the ones I have left ❤️ updated a week and a half after hatching 💕 7 lived for a week only one has passed so I have 6 babies left. And they’re a week and a half weeks old.

Not how hatching eggs tend to be shipped
Dont buy these for hatching. The "protection" is not protective. 4 eggs broke on arrival they weren't in their carton anymore, 2 eggs did not develop (unfertilized) and 1 egg had a ruptured air cells so it wont be anything. Over half the dozen was a waste due to poor shipping standards. Of the remaining 4, I'm uncertain if they are rotting or if there are chick's inside due to how dark the eggs are, we have less than a week to go and it doesn't look like any of them will be viable. As someone who has ordered eggs several times in the past this is just expensive eating eggs solely based on how they're shipped.

Low hatch rate.
I have had 2 hatch so far, its day 17. I didn't expect any to hatch. So this is an update to my original review My first go around resulted in 5 out of the 12 eggs hatching. I reordered another set of eggs. Those are in the picture and will be put in the incubator tomorrow. However, one egg was broken in shipment. The seller has a disclaimer that all broken eggs are a result of post office. So to be fair didn't contact either one seems like a bigger hassle than it's worth. I would point out that the seller uses rubber band to secure the egg carton and that's about where rubber would put pressure on the egg. We'll see how this second batches goes. If I still get a 1/3 of a hatch rate again I'll know it the supplier sending bad eggs. Also this second batch has speckled eggs and solid blue. The blue eggs are smaller. Hopefully their same breed as ordered.
