I have severe astigmatism and need to wear glasses to see. I have never been able to use a binoculars or monoculars with any satisfaction--always struggling to focus properly for my eyes. I read an article on using binoculars or monoculars with eyeglasses and found that I really need to be concerned with finding a monoculars or binoculars with at least a 16 mm long eye relief. This XGazer Optics monoculars has an ideal 18.4 eye-relief with twist up eye cup. It solved my problem. But I also travel as an amateur astronomer and have used this monocular as an alternative to hauling heavy 10x50 binoculars. If you have a steady hand, this monocular does a reasonably good job for observing larger night sky objects such as the Pleiades, the Hyades, the Andromeda Galaxy and the Moon.
