If conifers starts to die off, there's not a whole lot of things you can do about it. I moved into a house with a 30ft wide, 16ft high conifer hedge which is suffering from water-logging and conifer aphids. It's apparent they were a lot taller at some point and were cut back (height-wise) drastically. After a lot of research, I found out how much nutrients and minerals large conifers will leach out of your soil and ideally aerating, feeding and top dressing each year. I decided to use the conifer and shrub fertiliser and it did not disappoint. A few months after use and the conifers were a lot greener and lusher. The product is easy to apply, simple instructions on the box and it's good to do when you are top-dressing the ground around the trees. 6 Months on and I think I may need to top up as they are starting to thin out again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great nitrogen fertilizer and the perfect amount for 40 young laurel shrubs - highly recommended *by D***E on 16 May 2016* I used this product to fertilize a common laurel hedge that i recently planted (autumn 2015). This box was enough to put a handful of fertilizer around the base of each of the 40 laurel bushes - in fact, it was the perfect amount. The cardboard box that the fertilizer came in is sturdy and includes an easy to open flap so that you can pour the fertilizer out. The box was too big to pour the fertilizer directly on to the soil but it was very easy to decant a small amount of fertilizer into a small pot so I could easily spread it around the base of the plants. I left the fertilizer for a few days but when no rain arrived I watered it in using a 'leaky hose'. Since using this fertilizer the bushes have grown very well. Having been advised by a proffessional gardener that I would need to improve the soil with nitrogen I can say that this product has definitely helped my laurels grow and I will probably buy another box in a month or so to improve the soil further.
