I recently changed my old Chamberlain opener to this smart keypad. This is so much easier to operate. Has big lit up buttons that are easy to press. Syncing with my opener was very easy. What I love about it: Easy Guest Access: I love being able to create unique PIN codes for friends. You can even set them for your dog walker and delivery drivers. I can set them to expire or only work at certain times, which gives me so much peace of mind. Simple DIY Install: It’s truly wireless. I had it mounted and synced to my myQ app in less than 15 minutes. No messy wiring required! Real-Time Alerts: My phone pings me the second it detects motion or whenever someone uses their code. So you will know whenever your garage door was left opened. One tip: Uses 9v battery which lasts 2 to 3 months. I'd recommend picking up some rechargeable batteries so you can swap them out quickly. That way, you never have "downtime" while one is charging! Bottom Line: It’s reliable, the app is intuitive, and it adds a serious layer of security to the "real" front door of my house. Highly recommended!

Loving this garage door keypad with camera. It was easy to install and connect with our garage door opener/myQ app, no issues with compatibility. Works just as described. The camera picture is clear and has a wider angle than expected. The battery life seems very good so far. The price was very good. I am very happy with this purchase.

UPDATE II: After months of waiting for Chamberlain to fix the video delete function, they finally did it! I’m now VERY happy with ALL of my Chamberlain/MyQ devices and rate them 5 stars. I only hope the app developers learned a valuable lesson…IF IT AIN’T BROKE, DON’T FIX IT! UPDATE: my original post stands, and now for the reason I changed the rating to 2 stars: The software engineers and/or App developers put out a change to the already-working-just-fine MyQ App which removes the ability to BULK DELETE videos. You can only delete videos one-by-one, which, if you have 50, 100 or in my latest experience, well over a hundred recorded videos, you’ll spend 30-45 minutes or more, clearing videos from your storage account. The only other option is to delete them every single day, which is another pain in the burro. And here’s the kicker…Chamberlain has known for several months that this is a HUGE issue for users of their camera products, but has failed to fix the App in spite of too-numerous-to-count complaints on the App Store reviews. Chamberlain told me two months ago that they were aware of this problem and were working to resolve it. BULL! Two months later and it still isn’t fixed. All they had to do was issue another update, turning back the clock to the previous version. They aren’t fixing anything because, hey, they got their money for the cameras, so why fix anything? PREVIOUS REVIEW: This video keypad is fantastic in all respects but one, which I will address later in this review. Video quality is great, audio is crystal clear and easy to communicate with delivery people, etc. I’m glad I opted to upgrade from the basic keypad I’ve had for years. Setup was easy as well. Now for the shortcoming: although the battery lasts quite a long time (mine has been going for over 3 months before needing charging), it takes 10+ hours to recharge. That means no keypad or surveillance available all day (or night if you’re charging at night). And, to my knowledge and experience, the only way you’ll know the battery needs charging is a notification on your phone that the keypad is off line. To solve this issue, one must buy a second battery, keep it charged up, and swap batteries when the active one goes dead. That’s a $30 expense that I would rather have not had, but the alternative of no video surveillance and no keypad leaves no choice. And that’s why I gave this otherwise stellar device 4 stars instead of 5.

I would have given this 5 stars, except it requires an included MICRO USB cable to charge the battery. This product was released in mid 2023, no excuse for using deprecated micro USB technology. INSTALL and SETUP: I got this with the wiring kit to connect to an electrical outlet, it was all very easy to install physically, and connecting the keypad to the opener was much easier than other learning openers. You do not need to touch the ceiling mounted door opener. I highly recommend the electrical wiring kit, doing battery maintenance every couple weeks is not fun or even sustainable for many folks. I was able to run the wire between the garage frame and a piece of molding very easily by just prying the molding out a little ways temporarily while I pushed the wire thru behind the molding. You need a "precision" phillips head screwdriver for the install to adjust the swivel angle and to attach the wires to the keypad. USE and FEATURES: The video and audio quality is good. If you have multiple people that live at your home or come to your home, you can set a unique PIN for each person. If you have someone coming to your home on a specific day of the week, you can set a PIN that is only good on that day, and you can make that recurring if needed, e.g. yard crew can enter every Saturday. If you get the monitoring service it will record clips of activities, per your settings, and label them with what the video contains (person, animal, vehicle, package). I doubt the manufacturer (Chamberlain Group) makes much margin from the keypad, but the recurring video storage/management fees are the real value.

I purchased this keypad in New Zealand to use with my Chamberlain opener, and after months of testing and fiddling I can confirm it is not compatible with AU/NZ or EU/UK openers. - This model only supports 315 MHz and 390 MHz Security+ / Security+ 2.0 openers (North America). - Openers in AU/NZ/UK/EU use 433 MHz Security+ 2.0, so it will never pair. - I even purchased the official myQ Connectivity Kit (C828AU774R, AU/NZ version) to bridge my opener to the myQ cloud, but this keypad still does not connect. The unit also arrived with a flat battery, raising concerns it was used or improperly stored. The “myQ” branding is misleading. Despite being called a myQ Wireless Keypad, it has no smart features: - It does not connect to the myQ app. - It cannot manage PINs remotely. - It is just a basic RF keypad. To make matters worse, the myQ app available in the AU/NZ App Store is not the same as the US/EU version. Many myQ devices (like the Video Keypad) are not supported or even visible in the AU/NZ app, which makes the ecosystem confusing and fragmented. ⚠️ Advice: Unless you are in the USA/Canada with a compatible opener, avoid this product.

Our old keypad lasted about ten years before the buttons started wearing out and became less responsive, especially in the winter. This was an easy replacement that works perfectly. Setup took less than five minutes and it connected to our existing system without any issues. Simple, reliable, and does exactly what it should.
