I am very pleased with the pure taste of the water filtered through ...
I am very pleased with the pure taste of the water filtered through these, which I have been using for over 6 months now. It compares well to all but the best bottled mineral waters that I have tasted. This filter totally removed the chlorine taste (along with other unpalatable tastes) from my local water. The chlorine level of my tap water was measured as 0.15mg/l which is well within the recommended 'safe' limit of 0.5mg/l but nevertheless, to me, the water tasted like swimming pool water. Of course, I recognize that chlorine is necessary as a disinfectant. The local water company said that filtering the water would be unlikely to remove the taste but these filters have done exactly that. I take this as some evidence that they may be worth the higher price than average jug filters, but I have not compared them myself. Although the manufacturer recommends using each filter for 2 months I have found that each filter lasts me about 4 months - this is at a rate of filtering 2 litres per day. This significantly reduces the cost and I have not noticed any deterioration in taste during that time. Some people find the filtering process is too slow - I have found that this is most often caused by air trapped in the microsponge, which can easily be squeezed out when the sponge is in its place and when the upper chamber is full of water, using a (clean) wooden cooking spatula. I also note that it is important that the filter is fitted tightly in its place in the jug to avoid any by-passing of the filter by the water as it passes down into the lower chamber.

Great drinking water.
The filtration process that AcalaQuell produce is better than the Brita one that I used in London for years. The water tastes so much better. I switched from the white sponge to the Hard water grey pre-filter, and for the hard water in London , I feel the water tastes even better when some lime scale is filtered away. One has to be careful with the limescale filter as they break easily if too much tap pressure is applied; that's all. I just reordered 6 months supply of the filters. --As I use the Lime scale grey filters, I don't need the white sponge top filter. So perhaps Acala Quell Water One/Swing could sell the replacement filters with the lime scale filters instead of the white sponge one for peopl elike me who live in hard water areas? ... On my recommendation, a surgeon friend in UK bought one, and a mother of twins in Germany bought both the plastic jug and the larger glass one. The German company really researched water, and the various forms of filtration that exist. --Osmosis, carbon, zeolite, crystals, and putting energy back into the water too. But that's a bit hard to understand. Years later, I still definitely recommend this company. And now more so with the ecological war on plastics starting. Buying plastic water bottles, hopefully will soon be a thing of the past.

Nice water eventually ...
Nice tasting water when it has actually managed to get through the filters, but I don think that it is probably overpriced.

Impressive technology
After using the standard water filter in the UK (you can guess the product), buying this product was amazing. The technology in putting it together is about 100 times (not a precise number but an estimate) better than the standard model. It is a joy just to look at. No more need for bottled water (with its plastic problems) and no more fear of drinking tap water. This filter not only cleans, but structures the water as well. It cost a few bob, but cheap considering that water is truly the water of life and we need the highest quality water, and so worth every pence.

Beautifully sweet water; and a great value package!
I have the Swing filter jug; and last year bought this set of filters (and replacement sponge); yes, they have lasted that long! I have to say that I am most impressed with the complete package. I lived in the NW England previously where the water is known to be soft; but am aware that the water is even softer in N Wales where I am now living. So why a water filter you ask? Basically, I don't like the taste of tap water, no matter from where the rain fell. I have been drinking copious amounts of sparkling water, but this (believe it or not) has been responsible for cramps in my legs and feet. The body, apparently, spends a lot of its time trying to remove carbondioxide; and I was just pouring more in! I have used the other branded water filtering systems previously, but liked the idea of the natural filtration utilised by Acala. And all I can say is that the water is REALLY sweet, it's beautiful; and so very refreshing! My granddaughter's taste buds are keener than mine and she tells me when the sweetness is fading ;-) Generally, it is only my granddaughter and me who use the filtered water, which is maybe why I have only used three filters in one year; but I would certainly recommend this system.

Waste money. All filters were with green mold. I put in rubbish, because I had no time and possibility to return the item. I used this item for many years, but now I decided to stop.
