Chain has a tendency to jam. Had to disassemble it to free it up when I first got it and it will occasionally jam in use when lowering something under tension. Otherwise it works fine and is about what you'd expect for the low price point.

This is a well made hoist, helping me to complete several lifting uses. The chain hoist operated very smoothly in both up & down modes. If you’re looking for an excellent hoist this is all you need . It comes in various models to lift different weight loads . I recommend this product to buyers!

I am giving this product five stars because of the way it’s manufactured, good product and well made. Not really for the customers to know, but the people that ship these chain falls should put a zip tie or tie strap on the pull chain because when I receive mine, the chain was on the other side of the pulley system, and I had to take the housing off of the chain fall to get it to release.
