Birthday present from the wife! This piece of kit is very light, it feels great in the hands and also fits snugly into the back pocket! Took it out for the first time with my normal golf watch on so that I could compare the two. The key to accuracy is to make sure you have a steady pair of hands. Had a number of readings that were a bit off the scale when compared to the watch because of this. What it does do, that the watch doesn’t, it to give a distance for bunkers etc and lay up’s. It’s a real nice piece of kit. Easy to use, great that it’s gives both linear and slope distances and has a nice clear focus to it. Got this for £99.99 which is a fraction of the cost of some of the other well known brands and it does exactly the same. Comes with a really good magnetic strip down the side so that it can attach to the trolley or even a club head, and also has a nice separate hard case for protection. Recommend it for sure.

This is not a name I knew before, but I chose the rangefinder (my first) based on functions, looks, and other reviews. It’s a light, robust , quality and elegant device, with good quality accessories and a very good case. It’s simple to use and very fast. Great value for money, and battery life appears good. I chose the rechargeable, in white, with switchable slope and flag lock.I did initially have an issue, but Amazon put me in contact with Gogogo. My issue was sorted within 2 days, and I can’t recommend this brand highly enough. This is a great device and I’m very happy I chose it.I recommend you choose the model you want and try it. You can rely on the after sales backup in case of any issues.

The media could not be loaded. So the thing I like most about this is the speed with which I can get a reading, and an accurate reading too.With two presses of buttons I can have on screen(through view finder), very clear text/num, giving me the information I need.Also, one big thing for me, is the fact that it is waterproof, as seen in my review photos, I took this out in the rain to take the footage, because I know it can handle it.I really like the fact that this is rechargeable. It lasts long enough to get round, or do, whatever sport I need it for, and then I just plug it back in once I get home, and it charges, great, no more batteries.The body itself looks nice too, it has a nice white finish which I like because it keeps it visible, so I cant drop it and loose it.Now something I haven’t seen before, is that one side of this is magnetic, or at least a strip of it is, meaning even without a monopod or tripod, I can at times gets a steady, stable view, to get that precise reading, which I’m a big fan of.The hand lanyard is good too, it goes on easily, and feels sturdy enough to last.Now the readings this gives are great. I can cycle through the modes quickly and easily, and the “Fast flag lock” is great, and it’s fast, and having then measured some distances myself afterwards, I can say this is very accurate, including its “slope” measure, and I love the fact that I can easily and quickly turn it on/off, by using the “physical dedicated switch”, on the side, which is very easy to find, even as I look down the reticule.All in all, this is a really well made, well designed “Range finder” in my opinion, and certainly improves on my previous option.

The device is incapable of locking effectively on a flag from any distance. It returns wildly varying yardage readings from multiple measurements (often varying by up to 100 yards and even when readings are close still 30 yards difference, impractical for golf) and it is impossible to trust the reading given. The manufacturers have obviously packaged very basic laser technology without any thought to the need to accurately identify a flag against a cluttered background. Oh, and there is no magnetic strip…
