Life saver and no more worries about working near the gas tank. Heat up the bolt in seconds, spray a little PB Blaster and bolt comes loose within seconds with very little effort. Also for the first time ever I did not break a rusty muffler bolt. Came lose once heat and PB Blaster applied effortless. Not sure longevity as my unit has something inside making a small rattle since day one. Has not effective use. Have used it extensively for the 1 month I have owned it.

This thing is amazing! It works great! Literally saved my but getting a nut off that was completely rounded in an area a torch was impossible to use. This tool worked and in one job paid for itself!

When changing spark plugs in my F150 I broke two of the bolts used to hold the coil packs in place. Not wanting to use a torch for fear of damaging the plastic valve cover I used the induction heater to heat broken stud and insert it was threaded into to soften the plastic enough to pull them out of the plastic cover. In less than 20 seconds I had the insert with the broken stud removed from the cover. I was able remove the broken stud from the insert. The coils can be bent by hand for easier access to tight spaces. Too early to rate longevity so Im giving it 3 stars. I've only had it 2 days and used it twice for a total time of ~ 40 seconds heating broken studs and inserts.

Stopped working after 1st use. Can no longer return it. It did work well for one boot but then stopped heating. Woods have expected more for $300.

I was skeptical about buying this one because the lack of reviews. But I did anyway, right out of the box it comes in a nice carrying case, the unit is well built and solid. I had to test it's heating capabilities and that was impressive. I put a 3/8 bolt in the vise and put the coil over it and in 3 seconds the bolt was smoking and less than 10 seconds it was glowing cherry red. I tried it a couple more times and it gets it done. I can see using this thing alot in the shop. I will update if anything changes.

Have only had to use it once on a combine bearing. It wouldn't come loose with a puller so I heated it for a minute and it pulled right off. Combines and torches don't go together so this is a great alternative for using flame.

Just another tool in my arsenal of tackling hard to remove nuts and bolts.
