Sakkas Sequin Embroidered Smocked Bodice Knee Length Dress

Great summer dress. I'm only 5'4" and the dress went down to mid calf. Light, airy and fun.(See Photo) Unfortunately the dress got ruined by a little green dino which tore through my lower stomach. It burst through both layers of the dress and ran out into the park. I'm lucky to be alive! Definitely drank all the champagne after that. Considering it took quite some time for it to tunnel through both layers of the dress, I would say the stitching is good quality. The blood was easy enough to get out with some bleach and sewing up the tear was a piece of cake. You can't even see the repair stitching! Had the dino burst through the chest, like in the movie Aliens, the repair stitching would have been even more invisible.

Like many others I was worried about the one size fits most. I'm 5'5 and a touch over weight from baby number 3! However, it fits fantastically. It hugs where I want it to and flows when I don't need the extra hugs lol. It does go to my knees but I'm the type of girl that likes to wear ripped up jeans underneath so it works. I actually ordered 7 dresses from Sakkas and I love them all. Haven't washed yet but I assume due to the fabric it should be hand washed. Washing with vinegar or buying the color stop stuff from the store should help just fine with that.

This dress fits well and the length falls on your knee if you're 5ft 7inches. However, it fits tightly on the top because of the elasticity of the material used. The top of the dress could even feel constricting for busty women, or itchy to women who are sensitive to the feel if certain materials. Otherwise, it is a beautiful dress appropriate for many occasions from running to the store to lounging on the beach.

I've had this dress for years and it's in a little wad in my closet untouched and only worn one time. That is because the one time I wore it the strap broke. I took it to a professional seamstress who sewed it back on. the very next time I put it on both straps broke. I took it to my best friend's mother who makes dresses and asked her to sew the straps back on. They still broke. I don't know why either. It's not like I'm the hulk busting through my clothes. I have a closet full of dresses with straps that have never broken. It is a gorgeous dress but was a total waste just because the straps keep breaking.

PROS: First of all, the dress itself is beautiful. The stretchy bust, the flowiness of the skirt, the soft material, the sparkly details and stitching - all very lovely. Also better quality than expected. Material is thicker than it looks, but still lightweight.CONS: The burnt rubber smell. I don't know why it smells so bad! You could even smell the chemical stench through the plastic wrapping. My 5 your old daughter said, "Mommy, you look like a princess... but that dress just smells terrible". I couldn't keep the dress on more than 5 minutes before the odor made me dizzy and nauseous. I guess I will try to air it out for a while and see if it will ever be wearable. Also, I bought the White color dress and even with the built-in slip, it is still a bit see through. Would need to wear white undergarments for sure.SIZING: I am 5'8" and 230 pounds. Skinny waist, large butt and thighs, and 38DD bust. I wear a size 14-16 in dresses. This dress fits me fine, the straps are adjustable, and the dress is very comfortable. I do feel the cut is unflattering for my body type, unfortunately.

Super cute. I’m 5’6”, 160 lbs with a full D bra size. I love that the smocking is extra wide for girls with a bigger chest, because I have a hard time finding ones that fit in this style. It feels a little bit stiff, not as soft as another dress I bought from them. But I soaked it in fabric softener and it softened up some and I think with time, it will soften even more. I will probably wear without the straps because with a larger chest, the straps aren’t quite long enough and pulls it up a tiny bit too high into my armpits for my liking. But overall, a great dress and will probably order more in different colors.

It's a gorgeous dress. Love the melon color. The sizing says up to an XL (which I am) and they are right. However, the dress made me look HUGE. It was unflattering in all areas, especially in the waist. I wanted to like it, but I knew I would never wear it. So, I sent it back and got a refund.

I love the dress, wore it to church with a bolero and got lots of compliments. The sequins falls off like crazy-so that's a negative, I suppose. but other than that, it fits well, and is a beautiful cheap dress! I'm 5'9" and am happy that it comes to my knees. Color is pretty true to the picture. I bought the lime, since I was trying to match a color swatch for my sister's wedding colors. And I'm three months pregnant, and will be almost five, at the wedding, so I needed something that would allow my belly to "breathe" but I'm not big enough for maternity clothes yet. So this was perfect. Good dress, and very comfortable.

I've been wanting this dress for a while now the. Dress is absolutely gorgeous the picture doesn't do it justice fits perfectly . I do have a few other dresses from this seller there all gorgeous highly recommend.

I love, love, love, this sundress, it's beautiful! and can't wait to wear it on my trip south. Sundresses are very hard to find this time of year (February/March in cold Canada) and when I saw this on Amazon I ordered it right away. It fits perfectly, love the color (many others available) and the sequins add a lovely touch and make it dressy and perfect for going to lunch or supper at the resort. The dress is made of lightweight cotton, great for humid days and evenings.

Le tissu a l'air d'être épais, mais on verra après un lavage si ça n'a pas un peu bougé car c'est du coton. Très élégante avec les broderies et les sequins, surtout en blanc, on peut la mettre même pour une sortie ou une cérémonie. Du faite que c'est une taille unique, et que je fais à peine 1,55m, évidemment elle est un peu longue, presque mi-mollet, mais je ne touche pas à la longueur, c'est bien comme ça aussi. Forme du haut très serré, donc pour moi ça va, mais pas adapté pour les fortes poitrines.
