This was so fun to put together. You must be patient but the final product was amazing!!! It took me ~6 hours to assemble but once I started I was hooked to finish it. The color and detail is absolutely amazing! You will need a larger work station to lay parts out. Some of the pieces did come out of the board before I wanted them to so i just put a piece of tape on it with the board & part number so I knew where it came from. No glue or special tools needed to assemble and everything fit perfect. The instructions are printed on a HUGE paper, would be nice if it were in a book format to page through each step. Even though it was bulky the illustrations and instructions were very easy to follow. I did mark off the steps once I completed them. I love that it can hold multiple rubber bands and has the option to switch from single shoot or continuous fire. The rubber bands are very large so they don't hurt when shot. The only downside is there is not an auto retreaval of your ammo ;)

Bought it for my dad who is retired and doesn't really do anything with his hands anymore,....hasn't touched it.

The way this is created and designed is pretty impressive. I bought 10 for gifts and have put two together for people who could not put them together themselves. I will say be prepared to spend about 3 to 4 hours, maybe 5 for your first time. There are a ton of small tedious parts that seem like they are not going to go together but it does (with some patience). I have enjoyed putting these past two together and will probably make one more. Well worth the money and make great gifts for that gun enthusiast or fun for someone who enjoys putting things together, it truly makes you appreciate the final product when you finally have it completed. I would buy this again.

My 86th of this type, ROKR, Ugears, Woodtrick and others. Cars, trucks, locomotives, other vehicles, plus clocks and a couple of orreries. The first of this sort (a weapon). Construction is not all that challenging, although I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. As with all these wooden models: patience, sand as needed, lots of wax - not only for moving parts, but to ease pieces together. I also always suggest you read ahead a bit so you understand how sub-assemblies will go together. Looks good, probably a pretty good replica of the real thing - at 70% of real size. Works fine, although mine would only work in "burst" (auto) mode, even with selecter on "single shot". This is probably my fault, as it seems quite well engineered; but I'm not taking it apart to find where I went wrong. "Burst" firing is pretty impressive. The problem: the instructions are awful. Yes, very detailed pictures, even a lot of text, (unlike most other makers of these kits). But the instructions are not in a booklet like Ugears and others. They are on a single large sheet, 16" by 34", printed on both sides. The result is that all those great illustrations, and the text, are quite small. I kept a magnifying glass with me as I worked on this. That single large sheet is also unwieldy, so one is constantly folding and unfolding. There is a good listing of hardware and other non-wooden parts - but there is no listing of spare parts, leaving one to hunt around on all the boards to see if there is a spare. Ugears shows all spare parts at the beginning, so you know what you'v got. I've done other ROKR kits before, all with instructions on one sheet like this. Never enjoyed it. Ugears, for example, has large, clear pictures, often color-coded, and the booklet format is just so much handier. But it still is a good looking, good working item, so worth four stars.

Absolutely amazing project. Took my son and I a week working on it few hours here and there. I have a lot of model experience and I'd rate this medium difficulty. Had to use hobby knife to ensure the smaller pieces don't break when releasing them from their parts panel. Directions were very well written / drawn. Thing was amazing to use once complete!

A lot of pieces but fun to put it together! Great for someone who likes to put things together!

I bought if for my son for his birthday. He hasn't put it together yet, but the one I got him at Christmas was amazing.

It is a super fun build and I enjoyed it it was really easy to build no problems
