Best cat toy ever!
I bought this toy several months ago and my cat absolutely loves it. There are a couple things you need to know. It does flip over easily. When I came home from work the toy was flipped over and she was unable to play with it. I put it in a small plastic Bowl with about a half inch of room around it I put small River stones in the bottom of it then put the toy on top and put some cotton around the sides and put packing tape across the top leaving the charging section open. This seems to work and solve the problem. But now she is catching it and dragging it across the room so I found an old CorningWare salad plate and turned it upside down and taped the whole thing of a jig that I made to it. And now the whole thing works perfect. I charge it every night. In the morning she is sitting in the spot where it goes waiting for me to set it down and start it up. After hundreds of dollars spent on toys I found one that she absolutely loves and keeps her entertained all day long I wish it started up every half an hour instead of every two hours but it is what it is.

Finally, a cat toy that maintains interest for more than one day!
There are many standing wire cat toys out there - this is a really good one! The base is weighted so it bounces back up if your cat knocks it over, it is rechargeable so no need for AA batteries, and it cycles on for 10 min every 2 hrs then turns off, saving battery life. It can easily be turned back on manually if desired. Our fussy cat just loves this toy, and we can hear her playing with it off in the other room regularly. The battery lasts a couple of WEEKS between charges. Highly recommended!

1 of the BEST kitten toys!!!
Oh, how my new kitten Gizmo LOVES this toys!!! Out of all the toys she's gotten so far, this is her favorite! She'll even drag it from room to room - which is hilarious to see this tiny lil thing doing. It'll always up right itself. The charge lasts for days, at least 5 depending on how often I restart it. It also charges rather quickly about 2 hrs The toy itself is 5 stars for battery lasting, fun & durability. I took off 1 star (1/2 star if it was an option) because it would be MUCH better if they made it touch activated - 10 min every few hrs is not enough playtime for Gizmo. So I'll reactivate it & she'll play with it for 20 - 30 min at a time and/or every 1 - 2 hrs. When it's in standby mode & she starts playing, I'll get up & activate it for her - all you gotta do is press the on button quickly to reactivate it. If and when you ever upgrade this device, PLEASE include a touch activate mode for the more playful kitty - pretty please! UPDATE 7 months later: by far Gizmo's FAVORITE toy still! I got a 2nd one to stagger it going off & so it's never not going off vuz it's charging. Soild build, VERY good quality (thank frog) as it get slammed & banged against walls, doors, furniture & the tub when she drags throughout the apartment from room to room. She likes to "hunt" it & will try to make it challenging for herself (smart kitty), so I have 2 setup by a box with packing paper she LOVES to dit/lay in and hunt this teaser toy. Being able to easily buy replacement heads is great. They last about 4 - 5 months before coming too loose to stay on - they probably last longer if Gizmo wasn't so rough with it. I use the old heads by hanging them from drawers, she'll hunt them or lay underneath & play with them. She has teaser balls & another teaser hanging from a doorway, but this is her favorite & she goes running off to it as soon as she hears the bell on it go off when it wakes up. If your kitty loves teaser toys, this is a MUDT BUY!

It's gonna be a yes for me dawg
I don't write reviews hardly ever, but I have an insatiable Siamese and a large, lazy black cat. I am often busy between work and schooling and housekeeping etc. but this toy is an absolute HIT for my Siamese and my Black cat oddly enough enjoys watching her play with it. They are new roomies and are having a rough transition but this is bringing them closer since they both get treats at the end of a session (which apparently for my Siamese can be up to 40 minutes with this toy!) she played with it until it timed out multiple times, and as you can see in the video even continued to play with it while it was off. It makes a little bit of noise, would make less if I didn't put a bell attachment on it, but its still not enough to irritate me and I am admittedly easily overstimulated by noisy toys. Having a toy I can rely on to occupy and work the hunt out of my Siamese without taking up a large portion of time for me has been a life saver! Also a huge part in building the relationship between my girls as our routine is to tire out my Siamese, have her chill and then bring them together for chill time (since that's really all my black cat is interested in) and that's when they really get along. I haven't had this too long so hopefully it holds up, but honestly for the price if it died on me I'd just order another. She'd give it ten stars if she could ❤️

Really Good But Turns Itself On Several Times a Day
That cats seem to enjoy this as long as you only use it for awhile each day so they don't get bored with it. It's easy to charge, but the charging cable is really, REALLY short (use another you already own). It keeps the cats interested as long as you only put it out for awhile and not all day. The annoying thing about this is that even if you turn it off it restarts itself for no apparent reason during the day and night, and you hear it. I think once it's on it goes for 6 minutes then turns off again, but it seems whatever sensor it's using is too sensitive (it turns on when there are no cats in the house and the only culprit can be the ceiling fan or simply daylight coming from the windows or who knows?) When I wrote the first version of this review the company contacted me and offered me a refund. I wrote back that since the cats were enjoying it, no need. In their next response they said this was turning on by design and would do that until I manually turned it off. I understand that, but I have been manually turning it off and it still restarts itself for no reason at times. It's been doing this since I bought it. Still, I think that's very good customer service to have taken the time and made the offer of a refund. It's nice you can make your own DIY tassles and things rather than have to buy new bags of feather options and so on (they're sold, but kind of pricey). Being able to make your own means more variety to keep the cats interested. Despite the ongoing issue of this turning itself on by itself (it's just done this AGAIN, which is what reminded me to update this review), the cats do enjoy this and I would recommend it.

Cats love it!
A year later and my cat still hasn't gotten bored with it. It's a little noisy after awhile. My cat likes it not turned on. She's kind of sensitive to noise. I did order the replacement wires, but could have used the same one longer. I want to be prepared because it's one of Daisy's favorite toys. Just a heads up...don't forget to turn it off because it turns off for periods of time and will come on unexpectedly in the middle of the night. I was disappointed with the replacement feathers. They weren't the same as the ones that the toy came with. They are a little heavier and don't move the same because the wire falls to the side just from the weight. They weigh almost nothing but the wire moves more freely with the original feathers. They will work while I look for some lighter ones. A year later and it still works good and gets played with everyday.

Buy the toy, but throw out the ribbons!
This toy comes with a few extra items you can attach to the wire, including a couple of pieces of narrow ribbon. Get rid of the ribbon immediately! If cats eat ribbon, string, thread, or yarn (which they do, for whatever reason), it can get tangled in their intestines and strangle parts of the intestine, depriving it of blood supply. This is a life-threatening situation and can require surgery to save the life of the cat. Keep all string-like items away from your cat! My cat loves this toy! It’s still in good shape after a month of hard play. I love the fact that it turns itself off and then back on again a while. That matches the cat’s natural pattern of fierce play for a while, then a period of down time. The automatic off and on feature means that I don’t have to chase down a buzzing toy that the cat has walked away from. It holds a charge for a good long time. The USB charging is definitely better than having to constantly feed it batteries. Drawbacks: it is kind of noisy. When it’s on, even if it’s not moving and the cat is ignoring it, it makes a mechanical noise that gets on my nerves after a while — which is when I hook it up to the charger or turn it off. Also, it gets stuck under things frequently. The base doesn’t get stuck. It’s good at maneuvering out of places. It’s the wire on top that gets stuck under things like the coffee table or the flaps of an open box. It’s easy to release once you know it’s gotten stuck, but it may have wandered somewhere out of sight, so you don’t always know when it’s stuck. On the whole, this was a good purchase. It has pretty much kept my perpetual motion cat occupied for a month, and isn’t noticeably the worse for wear. I haven’t had to drag out any other toys. This is the only toy she’s played with since it came out of the box. Full: disclosure: I have three cats, and two of them rarely play with this toy, but I expected that. One is middle-aged and fairly sedate, while the other one, the sister of perpetual motion cat, is a 24/7 lap cat who rarely plays with anything. Like T.S. Eliot’s Gumbie cat, she sits and sits and sits and sits, and is not tempted by toys of any sort. EDITED TO ADD: This toy lasted two months to the day before the wire broke right where it was attached to the plastic thing at the top of the toy. My cat likes it enough that I ordered replacement wires. Let’s hope they last at least as long.

Good
Overall a really nice toy. The only thing I wish it had was different play settings. Right now it has one setting where it swirls around and then after a while it shakes in place and this sometimes scares my cat so it would be nice to have just the swirl part but that’s me being picky. I had to add a few pieces to the end of the wire to make it heavier than it came because it moved too fast for my cat with just the feather or string. Once I weighed it down though it works well.
