SVD Dragunov Scope POSP Rifle Scope w/Side Rail Mount (4x26mm Scope)

This POSP 4x26mm is a nice Flat Black scope with a bright red illuminated reticle. Classic Russian style reticle is crisp and clear. It uses a common CR2032 battery instead of a funny oddball battery that some POSP scopes use. Clear glass with 4" eye relief. It fits both AK and SVD type rails with a removable rail stop. It is not a quick detach mount and is tightened on the rail with 2 allen screws. Manual is in English and concise.It looks good on a PAP M77 and is only half of what an Eastern European POSP costs.I recommend buying a rubber eyepiece at the same time.

It works but the zero is weird and way too far up to the right

Good hefty scope. Fits most ak style side rails. For the money it's a great option without breaking the bank. Very easy to install functionality is very simple if you know how to sight in ak style scopes. I've had my mounted on my ak and it has always held zero.

The eye relief is alright it works but not as good as other optics I r experienced

The scope I ordered was the black 4x one for 200. The build and reticle all looked good with really good glass for the price. It seemed to be well put together and I was excited to give it a shot but the eye relief is very long. I mounted it to a psa ak101 side folder which is based on the ak74 with a stock length similar to the standard Warsaw length of pull found on other European ak's. I had to hold my head back at the rear of the stock to get a good sight picture and there was no way to adjust the position of the scope or find any way to make myself comfortable with it. Maybe I'm just too tall to get a good sight picture with it? In any case, it was an irreconcilable issue that made the scope unusable for me. The red dot might be better or the other 4x scope might but the one I tried was not working out for my rifle.

First things first, there really is no information in the product description that would lend you to choose this over any other scope. But I am glad I did try this.This is a solid quality scope. For the price, the glass has excellent clarity and it holds zero so far in my testing. The reticle and scaling inside the scope are crisp, easy to read and bright. The reticle is actuated by a manual toggle switch under the scope. It is kind of retro but very reliable. The windage and elevation adjustment knobs are clear and well marked. Pull them up to adjust. Then push them back down to set them. They are easy to adjust and are tactile as well. Each comes with caps to protect them when adjustments are not needed.The workmanship of this scope seems to be quite good. This scope is close in quality to the Belomo POSP and Russian NPZ. The 4X zoom makes if adaptable and ideal for mid range targets. The eye relief is nice and sits just inside of 5”. So you have plenty of room to set back from the scope and dial in the target. The eye piece also has a diopter adjustment ring for fine tuning your focus. Nice addition.This scope also comes equipped with a sun shade that you can slide out if it is bright out … it can also be used to reduce reflection of the front of the scope down range.The battery compartment is nestled in the rear mount elbow of the scope. What is nice about it is the inside of the battery compartment cap is magnetic. So you just slide the flat (+) side into the cap and it is held there while you screw it back into the elbow. NOTE: I would be careful to not cross thread the cap. On the scope I have, it binds just a bit sometimes. So don’t force it. Back off and try rethreading the cap on properly again.Some of the diagrams in the manual do not match the actual scope. For example, the scope in the manual does not have a diopter ring. Also, the scope in the manual does not have the TPO trademark on the mount.This scope has some western additions to it that the Russian version does not. In testing, I made a few observations. It holds zero … I have put about 200 rounds through my rifle and it is still spot on. The rail is another part of the scope that has been modified or westernized. It is not your standard quick connect rail you would get in Europe.I appreciate you taking the time to read this. All in all, For what you are paying, I think this is a quality scope. The scope has clear glass with good illumination. But the only true test of a scope is through use in the field. As well as, how well it can maintain zero and handle the rifle recoil. So far, the scope looks like it will stand up to the stress of field use. But this is a knock off and I find that they typically do not operate as well as the original. But I will withhold my further critique until I have field tested this for a few months and update this review. Of course, time is the only true test. But so far … it delivers accuracy and reliability at a level I was not expecting. Very pleased with this scope. Hope this information was helpful. [5 Stars]

I expected more out of this rifle scope for the price, i mean they are all pricey but this product wasn't great. It doesn't feel like it was made with the best materials, everything has to be really tightened down and even then i still couldn't get a clear line of sight.
