What a brilliant way to introduce data visualisation to kids, using incredible information on just about everything, beautifully described in clear and engaging language. Once my 12-year-old managed to wrestle the book out of my hands, he was instantly captivated. Here's what he had to say: "It's crammed with facts and figures about everything from the sea to space. I love how it presents the most obscure answers to all of the questions I never thought of asking! It makes everything so interesting and understandable by bringing everything to life in pictures. Did you know there are more Lego people than humans on the planet, and five-times as many farm animals?" Planning to buy several more as perfect birthday gifts for class-mates and school-age family.

Our son had seen the book advertised on the back of his encyclopedia, so managed to purchase as a reward and he is so happy with this. The book has been read daily, excellent quality pictures and range of information included within.

I am SO impressed with this book; as a (retired) primary school teacher I love the way that everything is presented in such an accessible way. The pages are very clear and the topics covered are just what children want to know! Perfect for both readers and reluctant readers, either on their own from age eight or with an adult from much younger. A perfect present!

If you want a book about sewing different materials this is the book for you full of really good information. Most importantly for me it is very easy to follow and gives very good tips too. A must to have on the shelf.

I bought this book as a Christmas present for my niece (she's 9), and she LOVES it. Although it doesn't fit easily in her bag, she takes it everywhere. It's absolutely beautiful to look at and full of fun facts that engage young readers. Highly recommend!
