The U-lock system I was using before was wonderful first time out... with my new mountain bike (which I haven't ridden a bicycle in 30 years, nor needed a bike lock). I love cycling and I was even more impressed by the improvements of bicycle locks. However, within the first week I started running into space issues...or better put, limitations on how I can secure the bike with all of the releasable and detachable parts. The extra wide width and angular shape to the U-lock really opens up more consistent fastening when locking the bike up. The shape and the added room even allows for my bicycle helmet to be secured along with the bike (helmet has a special location where you can secure the helmet in a bike lock).Overall this U-lock system's strengths are quality material (improving security and protecting the paint finish of your bike)...price very competitive from more recognized brands...carries a weight and durability that is reassuring (for the owner) and discouraging to all other people from tampering with it.

So far the best bike lock I have ever owned and it came with 3 keys. Not very heavy but very sturdy and very durable and strong. So worth the money I paid and it's not break the bank expensive. Very well made and arrived on time.

Heavy and thick lock. I'm the type of person to not just use 1 lock anyway and I mix them up at the same time between u locks and chains. This particular u lock gives the impression of quality and someone will absolutely have to work hard and have the appropriate tools to get through this. You won't just bare hand rip this lock off or use a basic hammer. A huge bolt cutter with leverage or a power saw that will both draw attention to you will be needed if I had to guess. I use this to lock the frame of the bike at hip height and then use chains to lock the wheels for added security .

There are 2 types of lock shoppers.People who really believe that the lock will stop a thief who has the time and the tools.And people who knows the purpose of the lock is to simply deter/buy them enough time to either get back to your bike or1. Someone notices your bike is being stolen and scares off the thief.2. The lock is durable enough that it buys you enough time to tire out whatever tool they are using to steal it.That’s all a lock can do. Is deter a thief because it’s durable or intimidating. Or it can buy you time so you can get back to your bike or someone scares them away.I got this lock for those two reasons.This cable and pretty much all cables are literally a security joke with the right tool in hand. But lets be real it’s a valuable deterrent when you understand its use (to buy you time or to deter):Which is to secure your wheels/tires up so that some miscreant can’t just come and take your wheels off without tools esp if you have the quick release. That’s it. That’s all.I would never use this level of lock and trust it to be there when I get back in some random place where people are not around or that I Don’t expect to be back within 10-15 mins.I mainly use it to make quick stops into storesWhere people are surely out and about at all times and where it would just be too crazy to use an angle grinder in public on a bike.In my personal opinion I would eventually get two of these locks and I would trust that setup to secure my bike if I intended to make longer stops or in more sketchier areas. It’s not about if they can get thru the lock (someone always can) it’s about how much time you can buy before they can take it and deterring them from attempting all together.The size is good and Wide and have fit around the posts I’ve used them on so far. I appreciate the door that covers the actual lock so debris doesn’t deteriorate it over time. (I ride to the sandy beach daily so I really appreciated that)Only thing I Don’t like about it is that it’s pretty challenging to find a good place to keep it on the bike since it is so wide and oddly shaped. It didn’t come with a mount so I currently have it hanging from my handlebar. And I Don’t really care for that placement AT ALL but it’s the only place that it will fit on the bike without rocking and knocking everywhere.Will update this if anything changes.

As solid as they come! The length, durability and security of this lock is just what I expected. Easy to lock/unlock, not too heavy or bulky, and I feel secure leaving our bikes locked up anywhere. Has held up nicely and has not lost its original finish or appearance

Super Super sturdy lock, very good for my bike. as everyone eyes it up. I had a smaller lock, but now I feel way more confident leaving my bike locked up somewhere with this!

Works very well. I bought an expensive ebike but I live in a damn sanctuary city, so I have a legit need for security. I felt much better going into the shopping market leaving it secured in the rack. My last lock i worried about it quite a bit more. I also like they send 4 keys with it.
