Mountain House is our favorite, by far, prepared foods seller. Never any TVP or fillers. They don't use wads of salt and/or citric acid as cheap "flavor". No preservatives or any other crud. Eggs are a bit tricky to freeze. They do have a slight reaction to it in that they're not quite as fluffy as a fresh egg would be. I actually prefer that. I never add milk or such to my scrambled eggs because I don't like puffy. If you do, buy a pouch size of this first and try it. Most of their meals can be found in pouch size for backpacking, BOBs, that sort of thing. As well as being a prepper in general, we live in the mountains. Being snowed in, often w/o power, is fairly normal and this is part of our preparation for it. They have a large range of meals, a decent range of sides and breakfasts, and you can't beat a 30+ yr shelf life. We split the entire tin over 6 days of backpacking between three people. It was a huge hit - we expected to get sick of it, but we looked forward to this every morning. The texture is not quite like freshly scrambled eggs, but the bacon was crunchy and the food was flavorful.

Took these camping in Wyoming and used them to make breakfast burritos. They were amazing and everyone in our group of 8 loved them. They were a real hit!

Purchased this for a recent hunting trip, taste was good, texture was good, and it was easy to make. I would advise a little "trial and error" use prior to any need to ensure you can get the mixture to the consistency YOU like. Following the instructions gets you close, we needed to add a little more water as the initial mixture was slightly 'pasty', but edible. I would recommend it for field use or emergency needs.
