Quick and easy upgrade to a standard incandescent can light in my shower.

We had an led fixture fail - our electrician pointe me to one of this type. He installed it today. Works perfectly - uses the same Edison type (bulb screw in) as the old failed one. I probably could have installed myself, but electrician was here handling more complex projects this morning. Allowed range of 'colors' to be selected. And brightness was just right (medium bright). Looks very nice - as good or better than the replacement - and blends in with the ceiling.

Replace existing light

This fixed one of the worst electrical fixtures in my house, which was an old bathroom 6” can light with an odd-sized compact fluorescent bulb that barely worked. This kit was perfect, having some options for brightness/color and the same kind of spring fasteners which the old fixture had. I did have to cut out the old rare socket. I just cut off the regular socket fitting for this replacement so I could wire it directly with wire connectors. If you’re not already comfortable and familiar with working on home electrical systems, you might want a professional —unless you have the standard size bulb socket. This replacement just screws in like a lightbulb. I could wish this had a little wider cover. It leaves about 1/4” of the gasket exposed from the old light. It’s probably perfect for a 5” can, but maybe a bit small for 6”. But it looks good enough for me and works great.

can light adapter was missing when I received the light; however, the issue was easily resolved with new light sent out that had everything included.

Love this easy to install fixture. Even comes apart to make it easier to screw in the socket part. Very bright, has 3 kelvin sections. If you forget to select one, just pull it down, but not remove, and the switch is right on the top edge. We used it to replace a damaged shower stall canister light.

I'm very happy with these lights. They are nice and bright and I really like the way you can get just the right colour temperature set with a sliding switch.
